Feels incredible to be releasing my Debut Album, it's been such a long process and such a long challenge it kind of felt like this day would never come, but it did.

Conceptually the album is about romanticizing a naive world view. That naiveness and ignorance is something to be cherished. There's something really beautiful about the perfect worldview you have as a kid, that the world is harmless, beautiful and good. The more you learn and experience though the more you realise everything isn't perfect. So the less you know the more beautiful it is, it's the things we haven't done, the places we don't know, that have this unquestionable beauty to it. it's this world i'm trying to mirror with my album, the one that stays in your imagination.

Musically i knew i wanted to do a sonic representation of the concept, blending worldly sounds with small bedroom type samples and soundscapes. I really loved the idea of those two polarizing things being the two main factors that would lay the ground for the album.

Since arriving in 2011—at the crest of an era overflowing with blissful synth projects—Luxembourg-based music producer Victor Ferreira (aka Sun Glitters) has earned a loyal following through consistent output, collaboration, worldwide tours, and festival appearances. With remixes for Purity Ring, Slow Magic, Blue Foundation and numerous others, and live support for the likes of Moderat, Son Lux and Gold Panda, Ferreira has quickly left a mark on the electronic music scene. Over the years, he has received glowing coverage from Dazed & Confused, BBC, Resident Advisor, Earmilk, XLR8R, Pitchfork, The Guardian and a bevy of other trend setting music outlets.

'It Will Be Forever', Sun Glitters’ most recent output (released May 2017), found Ferreira channeling the neon-noir of the 1980s (à la Drive OST and the videos games of his youth) and recasting retro-futurism under the ominous cloud of today’s digital age. Released as a full-length album and an experimental film, this audio/visual project saw Ferreira pushing his creative potential to new heights as a music producer, video director, and graphic design artist. It Will Be Forever – the album premiered via The Hype Machine while It Will Be Forever – the film premiered via VICE’s The Creators Project, who described it as an “experimental visual album that makes everyday moments unbelievable.”

Sun Glitters returns with a brand new full-length album this fall.
