A born rebel who lives for renegade parties, ORCA has been solidly carving her way into the heart of Melbourne nightlife.
Bold, brave and unique in her approach to finding music, ORCA has a wide range of influences and intricately weaves a new story with each performance.

Devilishly dark and always a little naughty, ORCA is well known for her delectable taste - her playful sets and attention to detail has seen her support a slew of her favourite local and international acts including Twisted Sibling, Sumirunaand Hypnagog and Freedom Fighters.

Alongside some rather memorable performances at Burning Seed, Collective Delusion, Defragments, Crunchy Town, and Paradox, she was recently invited to curate guest mixes for El Orden Secreto (Guatemala), Porridge Warehouse (London), End of Now (AUS) and multiple online appearances for COVID ROOM (Italy).

Deeply inspired by her worldly adventures, and incredibly supportive of the local scene - ORCA can see her opportunities are endless... but her heart is in Australia; where she is really starting to make waves.

We warmly invite ORCA to take to the Creatures stage for our 18th guest mix.

Paul Abad DJ Set - Dragon Dreaming 2022

Here's my set from Earth Frequency Festival 2022 at the Vertex. The live recording didn't work from this set unfortunately, but it was a very special set for me so I decided to do a studio recording. Sunday night at Earth Frequency has become such an enjoyable time for me to play a set, and I have to thank Jesse from Open Records for helping to build the Sunday Open Records session at Earth Frequency for quite a few years now. 

This set is a meeting point journey between a range of influences and styles, under the framework of strong techno grooves, some more progressive and even trance sounds find their place, and it's easy in a festival setting to be able to bring different sounds together because the crowd is already so diverse and open-minded. A bit of light and dark, tough and moody, slamming and spacious moments ... exploring dualities is something I really like to do when putting a set together. It makes it so much more fun to have a welcoming audience who will go on the ride with you through some different vibes. 

Playing this set was so therapeutic after a big few days managing the festival with my team, and it's always a big release moment for me. I'm full of gratitude every time that it's possible to make these events and these moments happen 💚

Big thanks to The Pain Proof Pixie whose performance collab was super awesome once again and definitely raised the vibe !!

Recorded live @ Where The Wild Things Are 2019 - Sun Stage

This set was played in the early afternoon as the morning rain cleared and the sun shone across the dancefloor and into the booth*. It's packed full of dusty dance floor tunes from wonky to rolling, melodic to banging. Shout out to the doofketeers who rocked out to my set. 

*pls excuse the shonky mix just over halfway, was looking for something to shade the CDJs ;-P

Trentoff At Esoteric Festival 2020 - Bush Techno Stage - Sunday Sunrise 7 - 8am

Usually, I like to ease into the energy and build it up as the set progresses, but with the 7:15am sunrise looming and off the back off Wisers pumpin techno set, I decided to start redhot here then ease it back as the sun rose. A fun challenge and I couldn't be more thankful to everyone for providing, and sharing in this experience. 

Combining some of my favourite tunes of the summer with the freshnes, and even a couple yet-to-be-released tracks we'll no doubt be crankin through 2020.
