Live Set Südpol 2024

Since her mixtapes 'Heavy Heart Affairs' touched me very deeply, there was no way around inviting @elizentheemperor for a cozy Monday morning at cashmere to co-create a special episode that will make you feel lighter even when your heart is heavy. While @elizentheemperor mostly developed the soundscapes on this one, I created poetry that matches some of the tracks hidden within the tape. Take some deep breaths with us, explore your deep space garden, a poem dedicated to the U-Bahn station Birkenstraße in Moabit & what it means to be a lover.

The sunrise serenades I am hosting are driven by the idea of curating mixtapes that express a deep gratitude for musical compositions that hit a soft spot & open up the possibility of being intimate with oneself through writing. This show experiments with sonic & poetic revelations. Inspired & guided by the tracklist, it will tell a different story each time. Explore the attempt to preserve a moment, your dream from last night, a feeling or the color in the sky at dawn through ambient soundscapes & their occasional interconnection with poetry or prose. Get cozy & listen closely.

note to self №7: dreams of spring

Wow, I still can't quite believe it happened. Because Gerd Janson had to cancel at very short notice due to illness, I got to play on the beautiful Seebühne (Do 26.06. 17:30-19:30). Of course there was no time to prepare anything, so I just combined a few new tracks with some of my favorites. Despite the simultaneous opening of Turmbühne and a rain shower halfway through the set, the floor was packed throughout the whole set, thanks to all of you dancers and now have fun with the recording <3

Hey folks!

When i started this musical journey i always thought playing Fusion Festival would be this once in a life time special event, so to come back and play a fourth time is quite the treat. From the moment i arrive at Fusion i feel so welcome and free to showcase my music and style of playing. It's a place that nurtures individuality, supports risk takers and does not care for what's on trend, so i thank you Fusion.

I also want to show my gratitude to the Seebühne crew for looking after me on the night and also making me feel very welcome. The stage really did look great and the sound was like a warm hug :)

Lastly i need to thank everyone who came to dance, listen and whistle (lol), none of this works without you so i'll always be in your debt and hope my musical journey keeps you entertained for years to come <3
