En año nuevo tuve la oportunidad de conocer a Don Antonio Ucan´Uk, indígena de raíces mayas que fue explotado laboralmente en  la Hacienda Sotuta de Peón para trabajar el henequén. Antonio me contó su historia resumida en dialecto maya y logré traducirla para que su mensaje y buenas vibras de verdad puedan ser transmitidas

"En tiempos del Peón había mucho trabajo, era yo el grande en épocas del peón, trabajaba en cortar henequén, chapeaba dentro del henequén, sembraba el henequén todo el trabajo todo lo hacía yo. Entonces como termina el tiempo del henequén, yo cortaba 800 mil hojas de henequén por semana. De antes la maquina en tiempos de Peón era la caldera que trabajaba el henequén en la cual la chimenea sale el humo. Entonces como terminó Peón porque empezó a salir el naylon (plástico) ya no dejaba (dinero) el henequén, ¿Qué hizo el hijo? Lo terminó porque tiene el mismo nombre que su papá, ¿Qué hizo? Consiguió otra firma y dio dinero en esa época y allá terminó el Peón, entonces para terminar buscó a alguien que le comprara la hacienda. El nuevo dueño fue Don Adolfo Luke Flores, entonces tumbó el monte y sembró henequén en todo. Ya no hay rieles ni máquinas y ahora me dio una recompensa Luke. No corto henequén, no tumbo dentro del henequén, me puso en la casa maya sentado para esperar visitas.
Aquí en la casa maya nunca pensé si voy a conocer, nunca pensé si va mi sombra en todos lados.
Ahora digo [estoy contento, les recibí con todo mi corazón]"

Érase una vez una pandemia que azotó el mundo y nos obligó a quedarnos en nuestras casas, las personas fueron compelidas a distanciarse y todo lo que nos parecía normal dejó de serlo. Miedos, frustraciones, enojos, inseguridades, algunas de las emociones reinantes aún nos acompañan en este momento. Un modelo entra en crisis y no sabemos cómo continuaremos.

Un poco azorades y confundides, desde Fértil, sentimos la necesidad de entregarnos a la inspiración (o no) que este proceso producía y lanzamos un espacio de intercambio, para recibir música creada en este momento.

Nos dimos cuenta de que la idea predominante de un tiempo lineal y productivo era, en parte, la causa del colapso. Estar “Fuera del Tiempo”, nos invita a pensar en un tiempo distinto, a observarnos, detenernos y pensar... En el estar agridulce de la pausa, esperamos la aparición de un vacío fértil, para entender mejor quiénes somos, dónde estamos y adónde vamos.

Fuera del Tiempo reúne 19 postales de una pausa.18 temas y un bonus track, de corte electrónico, compuestos por productores de distintas latitudes, e invita a un viaje pausado y reflexivo, con humores algo melancólicos y también con pasajes más orientados a la potencia del baile.

Componen este collage Pol Nada, Jin Yerei, Barda, El Remolón, Marco Selvaggio, Mente Orgánica, Xanducero, Cuervo Cuervo, Leo Silcan, Bicho, Manu Ela, Lautaro González aka Shoao, Galo Vermelho, Tomás Batista, Relo, Damia, Silly Tang ft. La Sardina, Enanomalhecho, Villa Diamante y el debut como compositor de Lavender & The Good Times.

Once upon a time there was a pandemic that struck the world and forced us to stay in our homes, people were compelled to distance themselves and everything that seemed normal to us ceased to be so. Fears, frustrations, anger, insecurities... were some of the emotions that took over us, and in some cases, still do. Our system has reached its limit and we do not know how we will continue.

A little lost and confused, at Fértil Discos we felt the need to give ourselves over to the inspiration (or its difficulties) that this process produced and we launched a space for exchange, to receive music created at this time.

We realized that the prevailing idea of ​​linear and productive time was, in part, the cause of the collapse. Being Fuera del Tiempo invites us to think of a different time, to observe ourselves, stop and reflect ... In the bittersweet state of this pause, we await the emergence of a fertile void, to better understand who we are, where we are and where we go.

Fuera del Tiempo brings together 19 postcards of a break. 18 songs and a bonus track, of electronic, composed by producers from different latitudes, and invites us to a quiet and thoughtful journey, with somewhat melancholic moods and, simultaneously, powerful landscapes to dance in.

The Kingdom of Benin, also known as the Benin Kingdom, was a pre-colonial kingdom in what is now southern Nigeria. It is not to be confused with Benin, the post-colonial nation state. The Kingdom of Benin's capital was Edo, now known as Benin City in Edo state. The Benin Kingdom was "one of the oldest and most highly developed states in the coastal hinterland of West Africa", it was formed around the 11th century, until it was annexed by the British Empire in 1897. The original people and founders of the Benin Kingdom, the Edo people, were initially ruled by the Ogiso (Kings of the Sky) who called their land Igodomigodo. The first Ogiso (Ogiso Igodo), wielded much influence and gained popularity as a good ruler. He died after a long reign and was succeeded by Ere, his eldest son. In the 12th century, a great palace intrigue erupted and crown prince Ekaladerhan, the only son of the last Ogiso, was sentenced to death as a result of the first queen (who was barren) deliberately changing an oracle's message to the Ogiso. In carrying out the royal order that he be killed, the palace messengers had mercy and set the prince free at Ughoton near Benin. When his father the Ogiso died, the Ogiso dynasty officially ended. The people and royal kingmakers preferred their late king's son as the next to rule. The exiled Prince Ekaladerhan had by this time changed his name to Izoduwa (meaning 'I have chosen the path of prosperity') and found his way to Ile-Ife. It was during this period of confusion in Benin that the elders, led by Chief Oliha, mounted a search for the banished Prince Ekaladerhan - whom the Ife people now called Oduduwa. Oduduwa, who could not return due to his advanced age, granted them Oranmiyan, his grandson, to rule over them. Oranmiyan was for many years the ruler of Africa, the one and only king, who he build the legendary pyramids of Senegal, now vanished, one of the lost wonders of today’s world!!

Un momento preciso en el espacio tiempo para reunir a grandes exponentes y artistas emergentes del downtempo Chileno, para conformar este WALÜNG y marcar la llegada de tiempos mejores para todos juntos.
