An artist always in evolution with a catalogue welcoming material via All Day I Dream, Knee Deep In Sound and Anjunadeep, Dee Montero remains a favourite for many of the scene’s biggest names - from Pete Tong through to Lee Burridge and Solomun. Following a fruitful 2021 with releases via Renaissance, Stereo Productions, and his own Futurescope imprint, the Belfast-born DJ, producer and label boss now returns to home turf to unveil the label’s first material of the year. Showcasing the first look into his forthcoming major project for 2022, scheduled for early summer and to be announced later this year, February welcomes the hypnotic sonics of latest single ‘Maya’ accompanied by a remix from French talent and Mobilee regular Rodriguez Jr.

Balancing rich organic percussion with sweeping melodies, entrancing vocals and swirling atmospherics, ‘Maya’ reveals a powerful, resonant production perfect for late-nights right through to the early morning hours. Synchronicity is a wondrous thing, and the creative pairing of Luke Brancaccio (Brancaccio & Asher, Suicide Sports Club) with Simon Berry (Platipus Records, Art Of Trance, Union Jack) after a chance meeting at a London house party, is perhaps a sign that the universe is conspiring to guide electronic music on to a new and exciting path. The past 6 months has seen them unveil two crucial releases Oblivion (Bedrock) and Wake Up (Circus) both receiving much critical acclaim, and firmly positioning this experienced duo as one of the most exhilarating new collaborative projects around. Now, they return to Bedrock with their third, highly accomplished creation Close Your Eyes featuring the compelling vocals of JJD.

Another big release is coming up on Last Night On Earth! There has been a really well flavored collaboration cooking for a while and it’s time to add this to the catalogue. Sasha has been building on a new scenery with Artche bringing their work to fruition on the new ‘Siren Chords’. The Manchester based producer Artche has been showing off his talent on labels like Eric Prydz’ ‘Pryda presents’ imprint and Lane 8’s ‘This Never Happened’ label, before embarking on this collaborative adventure.

The title track ‘Siren Chords’ started out in Sasha’s hands and made it’s way to Artche who got this track to the next level by adding his own flavours. The result is a journey of sound combining Sasha’s signature breaks with Artche’s beautiful vocals and melody work. Artche comments; ‘Growing up listening to Sasha’s live sets and productions have had a big influence on the music I make today, so to release a collaboration with the man himself is an amazing feeling and to release it on Last Night On Earth makes it all that more special.’

Alongside the title track there will be two original tracks by Artche featured on this EP by the names of ‘Split Open’ and ‘One Who Knows’, a perfect fit for the label. Artche’s signature sound really shines trough here incorporating his intricate vocal work and big melodic synthesizer lines. The full release will be out on August 21st.

Release Info: 
Longstanding dance music stalwart Nick Warren inaugurates the launch of Nātiv Records with Freedom Call / Electro Shock. The two-track EP, set for release on 27th November, includes a collaboration with rising Egyptian talent, Black 8.

Speaking on the formation of the release, Nick Warren described that he was “overjoyed to have both Freedom Call and Electro Shock coming out on Nātiv Records. Freedom Call - which I wrote with Black 8 - has been massive for me in my sets for over a year. Electro Shock is my homage to early Electro records and I was honoured that Martin Buttrich agreed to mix it for me.”

Things get underway with the Freedom Call, as tribal-inspired drums converge on an iconic nineties vocal sample. Smooth pads reside alongside rhythmic key changes, before subtle kicks help move the beat along. Electro Shock finishes proceedings gracefully, as a warming piano roll accompanies staggered snare patterns and surreal, dream-like synths.

A time-honoured talent in the electronic music realm, there are few as well-versed in the art of performing than Nick Warren. A&R for the esteemed Hope Recordings, Nick’s output has spanned multiple decades in a career that has seen him support headline acts such as Massive Attack, as well as hold a residency at clubbing institution Cream. In more recent times, Nick’s keen-ear for production has landed him acclaimed releases on labels such as John Digweed’s Bedrock Records and the iconic Global Underground.

Italian duo Armonica has been a project we've discovered a long time ago, so working with the full release with guys is our pleasure and honour.
Their significant productions with Connected Frontline, Stil Vor Talent and Multinotes, as well as the recent remix, done with MoBlack for the legend of afro-beat Fela Kuti, released with Defected, have become the main reasons to love guys' sound.
The main title 'Slave' is powerful and effective banger edging between the melodic influence of laidback Indie Dance vibes and the acid sounds.
We are happy to have Dutch producer Patrice Baumel taking his hands on the remix of 'Slave': going more underground with powerful low-ends work, catchy melodies and the enveloping breakdown, Patrice's version is the undoubted proper floor-worker.
The third 'Ratio' has a profound ground: major synth spots and the melodic elements are unified into the properly performed track.
Enjoy any of the tracks from the release, either all of them; the second will make us happier.
