Manche Songs altern nicht, weil sie keine große Geschichte brauchen. Cordula Grün ist genau so ein Song: eine Nacht, ein Name, ein Gefühl, das man nicht vergisst.
In meinem Cover geht es nicht um Perfektion, sondern um Stimmung. Locker, direkt, mit einem Augenzwinkern – so, wie der Song gemeint ist.
Ich habe bewusst meinen eigenen Vibe reingebracht: weniger Party-Geschrei, mehr Gefühl zwischen den Zeilen. Ein Cover für alle, die diesen einen Namen im Kopf haben, auch wenn sie längst wissen, dass es kompliziert wäre.
Kopfhörer auf, Lautstärke hoch – und einfach treiben lassen.

Brett return with astral lead single, "Claire Drained," and news of their sophomore album, Mode. Across the record's 10 tracks, Brett's songwriting magic is undeniable. Pop jams come to life in 3D, swirling the senses and putting the mind into motion.

Unlike previous material, Mode inspirations are diverse, owing more to multimedia art than romance, namely Jean-Luc Godard’s recent film, Goodbye to Language. “The defining quote for me was: ‘For women, it's only sex and death. For men, it's only infinity and zeroes,’” said vocalist Mick Coogan. “It’s a fairly opaque statement, but I think the irony lies in assigning absolutes to human relationships, which can be so beautiful and inspiring. At the same time, the fundamental differences between men and women are very real and that shit is difficult to figure out.” In a more abstract way, the light installations of James Turrell also influenced the musical contours of the album.

The album’s art was created as a large-scale painting by LA artist, Charley Alexander, using abstracted patterns, shapes and color scales, and then cut into 50 squares, each of which will be sold with limited edition pre-order copies of the vinyl record.
