There's a lot to be said about Post-Hardcore. While some bands simply fall in line after each other, there are those select few who try to bring a unique and original sound to the genre. Releasing some of the most original tracks, Discoveries will be seen as one of the most quickly rising Post-Hardcore bands from Central Kansas to date.

Discoveries originally started out as a project band named Validity in 2011, represented by two talented musicians, Alex Haase and Desmon Boykins. After months of hiatus, the gears were kicked into motion and the search for the remaining members had begun. 

In March 2012, Loren Ledbetter came to Discoveries, handling the clean vocals. Ian Davies, from Junction City, was introduced as the band's lead guitarist in April, switching Haase to rhythm guitar. Later that month, the band found Jeff Doshier as the bassist. In early June, two members of the band decided to part ways when Desmon Boykins and the band's drummer, Danny Montanez, quit due to personal reasons. When everything started to pick up and gain followers, the name was changed to "Discoveries", molding the overall technical style and melodic method of hardcore playing into what you see today. Although the band is still in it's "demo days", having a MIDI instrumental sound brought on by Guitar Pro 6 software, Discoveries has shown great pride and promise in the Post-Hardcore genre and will be known as one of the fastest rising bands from Central Kansas.

The band is currently preparing to record their first EP entitled "Relativity" coming out this summer
