Caravan’s Coarsica EP is a gorgeous six-tracker of wandering drum machines and shiny synths, washed with the burnt umbers and viridescent hues of the Australian outback. Computer-funk with a green thumb. As the track-listing suggests, Coarsica is a tribute to subtle and compelling beauty of Australia’s native flora, as if Costa Georgiadis and Dâm-Funk got away from the big smoke for a weekend and spent the whole time by the river cooking this bad boy up. Like rugged and stoic Banksia, or the regal Flindersia, each track on the Coarsica EP provides a dappled shade under which the weary dancer can rest in these hot summer months.

Fred Berthet aka DJ Steef signs the 16th release of the label by delivering an EP made of 3 tracks.

Ludodisco is an original disco track that has a groovy start with vocals and arrangements around dub effects. It follows with a mix of violins ascending into an intoxicating melody.  Adversity a down tempo track which reveals a jungle atmosphere with a chorus and subtle percussions. This track evolves as you listen revealing its unique ambiance that we love ! Two Reasons, classic deep house track. The perfect sound to start the evening.

Rothschild 12 operated between 2009 and 2017 at the heart of Tel-Aviv, near the bustling intersection of Herzl street and Rothschild boulevard.
It has began as an art gallery and quickly became a popular relaxed café and bar. 
While its front terrace faced the hustle and bustle of the city’s main boulevard, in its back room Rothschild 12 hosted nightly live shows by a variety of established as well as up and coming independent musicians.

This musical summary of Rothschild 12 brings together a modern remix to a pioneering Israeli-Yemenite disco number from the seventies, a bundle of colourful and psychedelic beats, a gentle and well-polished pop tune, a song so frank it hurts that develops into a percussive devil's dance, and three tracks touched by poetry: a modern-electronic rendition to the groundbreaking work of an iconic Tel-Aviv poet; a spoken word piece based on lyrics by a renowned contemporary poet; and an electronic remix to a musician which has become one of the distinguished voices of Tel-Aviv's current younger generation. These gems were selected and combined together by Yotam Goldman, better known around town as DJ Yogo.

B3 Ahmed Silan - Hemalot

There was a sense of grace and foreboding about the hesitancy of his tone. He spoke with such fickle promise - his very nature was conflicting and difficult to determine. Stood in the empty gallery he spoke as if he were able to offer the world to those that stood before him. However, there was nothing to say that he had much grandeur or life beyond the four white walls at all. Life can fail, life can fall - he didn't seem to care outwith the walls. Paintings hung promptly around the room - they looked old, like him. 

Soda Lite appears on a new split EP by Ville Nouvelle - an intriguing release with subtle charm for the dancefloor and intrigued mind. The release is titled "Music For Five Post Cards".

Franz Scala was last spotted on Boredllo A Parigi back in 2016 - he makes the move to Bahnsteig 23 for this bold record of synth pop, early electro and much more besides. "Anacondas" has a cheery tone, all sunny synth lines and a laid back boogie rhythm section, while "Thai City" is more like a scratchy beat track for DJs to get clever with. "Shadow Dancer" is one of the record's stand out moments - a muscular pop burner for all 80s romancers to get emotional and funky to. "Rascals" finishes the EP off with some seriously tough drums and some body-popping electro styles that should go down a storm on the floor.

Hometown favourite Bordello A Parigi is back at in again and swinging in hard! This time the record label welcomes Nantes-based So Many Men, who has previously released work under the Digital Romance, Forgotten Illusions, The Outrunners monikers. Two heavy-fueled electro anthems with a strong leaning towards the cosmic side of synth work. Good stuff!
