The A side, 'Not Perfect' is a perfect blend of deep tech and sexy. Shyam P's harmonic melodies hosts the vibe while keeping the gritty feel for the dance floor. This combined with Late Replies' rolling glitchy percs and pumping bass line guarantees a good time on the dance floor.

The B side, 'Never Know' is a constant deep acid sequence roller polished with Rayzir's slick vocal which will hug the club. The snapping RD8 snare pierces through the speakers while the bass line takes you on a deep ride.

Having returned to Ibizan mecca DC10 for a third year with a fresh take on their Casino Motel concept and building on their sold-out Off Week debut in style, Solid Grooves' summer is in full swing as the world-renowned collective showcase once again why they're at the top of their game. With a string of chart-topping singles already released in 2024 and a series of highly-anticipated drops just around the corner, late July welcomes a bonus surprise with the sixth edition of the label's VA series, 'Raw Grooves'. A highlight for many, dropping via sister label Solid Grooves Raw, this latest edition comes following the success of December's fifth instalment and brings a selection of cuts at the perfect time in the height of summer.

With many years of experience under their belt, Paolo Martini & Gianni Bini boast a wealth of knowledge, talent and skill in the new EP. Lead track Eyecode is a heavenly slice of tech house, featuring warping synth breakdowns and a captivating vocal hook demonstrating immense production from the pair. Meanwhile, Paolo Martini takes the reins in intricate b side Freaxs weaving amongst cosmic chords and euphoric drum patterns marking an epic debut for both Paolo Martini & Gianni Bini on the Sola label.

As Bini & Martini, the duo have released notable originals including Soul Heaven and Disco Down whilst remixing the monumental Soul Providers – Rise on Azuli Records as well providing official remixes for the likes of Armand Van Helden, Diana Ross and Jamiroquai. As solo artists, Paolo Martini has released on Hot Creations, Repopulate Mars, Moon Harbour and more whilst Gianni Bini’s quality productions have caught the attention of industry innovators including Pete Tong, Sasha, John Digweed among others whilst touring all corners of the globe including South Africa, Mexico, Australia and Singapore. Making his debut on Libero this October is Solid Grooves resident and Distance Music frontman, Bassel Darwish. He has built up a solid reputation for high-quality releases on some of the industry’s top labels over the last few years, so we are delighted to add him to our release catalogue. ‘This Is What We Do’ features an original single from Bassel, along with remixes from frontmen Mike Morrisey & Luke welsh and Francesco Squillante.

The Original Mix comes in hot with uptempo energy and swaying rhythm. Bright drums and a huge sub-bass coast along in a wave-like fashion with crisp percussion and hats piercing their way through the main beef of the track. Vocal-driven breakdowns steal your attention with a captivating hook and subtle undertones before punching you back into the beat.

Label bosses Mike Morrisey and Luke Welsh follow up with their spin on the track. Pumping more zip and groove into the original concept with longer buildups and atmospheric, energetic drops. A low-slung, driving bassline paired with uptempo, rolling percussion make it a perfect peak-time driver. About as good of an example of the Libero Sound as you’ll get from the label chieftains.

Squaring things off, Francesco Squillante applies a gritty tone to his mix. A heavy, in your face bassline carries the track and is supplemented by quirky, offbeat samples as well as some additional creative vocal work. A solid display of ‘same but different’ at play here; the sign of a very intelligent, experienced producer.
