Starting 2022 with a great artist, Aes Dana, one of the most aknowledged artist of the ambient scene and co-owner of @ultimae records

Vincent Villuis aka AES DANA is composer, sound designer, DJ and founder of @ultimae records label. An electronic activist for over 25 years, also a founding member of the Asura band.

Bass player and singer in several coldwave and industrial bands as a teenager, Vincent then moved on to composing with machines and specialised in audio sampling and layering of acoustic sounds digitally transmuted. Its music ensures a coherent fusion between Deep Ambient, Downtempo and IDM with a touch of Electronica Neo-Classical, Indus & Liquid Drum'n'Bass.

As AES Dana he has produced 7 albums, a collection of audio samples and about 50 tracks for various compilations, while collaborating with the Swedish artist Magnus Birgersson (aka Solar Fields) under the moniker H.U.V.A. NETWORK on 3 albums and with the Greek artist MIKTEK on 3 EP releases gathered later in the concept album « Far & Off ». They also worked together on the “Fragments 01 & 02” sample libraries. His solo-designed music library «Aethers» (co-published with Loopmasters) which was voted « best Cinematic Ambient sound bank » in 2015.

He composed scores and licensed existing works for short and feature films, documentaries and BBC tv programs such as « Atrophy Bank » by Sam Asaert, « The Passport » by Amund Lie, « Mandorla » by Roberto Miller or « Breath of Life » by Susan Kucera which opened new perspectives on composition and sound design and collaborations with various advertising agencies.

He is also the curator of the Fahrenheit Project compilations. As head of the Ultimae Studios, he earned a solid reputation for his Audio Mastering works & Sound Design.
He also is working on several projects in parallel: remixes, scorings & special projects.
His second collaborative album with Miktek is in progress and will be released in 2022.
A collaborative album with the Danish artist Lauge is also in progress.

Sub Space Transmission Vol.1

The duo Lauge & Baba Gnohm consists of Henrik Laugesen and Kalle Christensen, both born in 1985 in Denmark. They first met in 2008 in Christiania. After a successful day in the studio, they decided to put their previous solo projects on hold, and team up. Lauge & Baba Gnohm was formed in the late winter of 2008, and that wintery feeling which was present in their first tracks, still leave traces in their more recent soundscapes. Henrik and Kalle are heavily inspired by nature, especially the arctic parts of the world.

In periods of producing, some individual recordings, samples and sounds that get developed are leftover but not useless, as physical albums are simply limited in time.  
That also applies to tracks and some 5 million ideas :-)

Martin decides to reveal the material for later, which can be integrated into other tracks, for remixes and definitely for podcast mixes. 
Like this one for Deep Electronics.

The ambient mood of this podcast session is inspired by the surrounding forest and contemplative lake, which is conducive to the atmosphere of his studio.

Together with Keeva Pfeiffer´s special vocal and speech recordings and deep sense for ambient, this studio podcast for Deep Electronics, (based in Martin´s native country ) became very special to him and is dedicated to all deep ambient lovers. It´s frequencies are about the mystical, love, knowledge, mother earth and the universe.

Ambient Sessions # 62 - Martin Nonstatic

Till now Lauge & Baba Gnohm have had many releases on various labels around the globe, as well as being part of a sync company dealing with soundtracks for movies and documentaries. The very first Lauge & Baba Gnohm collaboration release was The Perfect Stranger which was released on the German record label Blue Tunes Records. Along with releases on different compilations, Lauge & Baba Gnohm have released two EPs: Daybreak, on Soundmute, and Monolith, on Chillbase and the full length album "Langbortistan" on Altar Records.
