This song describes a woman's journey as she escapes from the prison of domestic violence. It celebrates her courage and determination as she finally sets out on her own. All she leaves is "a little note" telling him goodbye.

Track from Heart Of The Great Unknown (winner of a Washington Area Music Award (Wammie)for Contemporary Folk Album (Artist) of the Year.

Track features the sweetness of DC's Cletus Kennelly’s voice and the tasty mandolin chops of Ira Gitlin.  The song captures that tension between making a name for ourselves as musicians and the pull of our life back at home. And as a Mom I know many nights pulling up late in the driveway after a gig wondering if my kids were still awake. Produced by Marco Delmar.

Sometimes You're Humble

My new song "Heal Out Loud," reminds us to reach out and speak about what is in our hearts with people we can trust. Sometimes we feel ashamed or alone in our pain or our addictions. There is a movement in the US to stop the stigma around our mental health needs.  An inspired effort to help people get the support they deserve.  Together we can heal out loud. This song (and upcoming music video)were made in support of the #stopstigmatogether national campaign to end the stigma around mental health and substance use disorders.
