Born in the cold month of January, Jeremiah “88 K3YZ” Amos was destined for success. He grew up on the Southside of Chicago where making it past the first year of high school was a big accomplishment. He was raised by his mom as well as six other siblings who taught him everything he needed to know about survival on the streets, especially since his dad left at the age of five for unknown reasons. Growing up was a breeze until his adolescent days when his life took a turn for the worst. He started hanging with the thugs form the neighborhood but managed to avoid trouble at any cost, which was when he realized this was not the life he wanted to lead. That was the birth of his music career and when he taught himself to play the piano at the age of 14. He sat in his room for long hours every day trying to match the sounds that he heard on the radio. Eventually, he became flawless at it but still yearned for more satisfaction so he began to bang on his mothers’ pots and pans with wooden spoons pretending to play on a drum set because he could not afford one at the time. He eventually became very good with the drums as well. By playing the drums, a desire to rap was instilled in him even though he never saw himself as a rap artist. It seemed as though his life was destined to evolve around music. 88 K3YZ loves what he does, and gives all praises to God for his love of life and everything that he will accomplish.
