Imaginary Landscapes is Eduardo Vélez, a mexican dj and producer based in Lisbon, he performed a piece of experimental electronic music with Antonio Russek, a world wide known name in sound art, at Tallera Siqueiros in Cuernavaca, Mexico. Actually Imaginary Landscapes moves between Mexico City and Lisbon playing at different venues. Eduardo also has a duo project with Floating Machine called 'Teixo' releasing their first EP on Secuencias Temporales.

Very close to the experimental electronic music and sound art, Imaginary Landscapes combines different electronic soundscapes in his sets, always looking for the proper sample or loop, IL reaches and creates imaginary atmospheres: an instant into the inner side of music.

I got into techno a few years ago and immediately fell in love with it. Listening to it at home was one thing, but enjoying it at my local club was a different experience. For the first time, I truly felt free in public.
Many hours of dancing later, I realised I wanted to do something meaningful in life and return to people the emotions and feelings I had experienced myself. 
I finally found the courage to play after DJ’ing basics from my brother and a few lessons elsewhere. I want to improve and become someone who can bring joy by sharing my work with the world.

#110-INTELLECTUAL WANDERER

This EP unfolds around the essential themes of existence and experience, weaving a continuous narrative through the contrasting languages of ambient and techno. The journey begins with “Born”, capturing the fragile moment when formless sensation awakens, cautiously exploring the origins of being. It flows into “Chaser” and “Genesis”, which follow emotional movement and temporal progression, expanding into inner tension and metaphysical imagination. While the first half delicately portrays a stream of unconscious thought, “Glitchy” and “Addiction” introduce clearer forms—addressing themes of impulse, repetition, imperfection, and immersion. Each track stands as an independent contemplation, yet together they form a cyclical narrative, inviting the listener to question the boundaries between reality and abstraction.

Artist Bio – ANIMUS

ANIMUS is a techno DJ, Doctor of Science, and adjunct professor at a university.
Moving fluidly between club culture and academia, sound and thought, she expands music into a medium of both sensory expression and philosophical inquiry. Through the structural language of techno, her work explores the aesthetics of experimentation, emotion, and repetition—delicately tracing themes of existence, immersion, and inner movement.

Her music is more than an act of listening—it becomes a ritual, a sensory space. Through sound, animus explores the textures of human emotion, the limits of perception, and the possibilities of reflection. She constructs a unique sonic language that thinks in rhythm and questions through structure. As both an artist and an educator, she continues to engage with the core of artistic practice—creating, teaching, and thinking in tandem.

Amsterdam-based @vandmusic has dedicated almost a decade to play and experiment electronic music. The young DJ & producer has been releasing some of my favorite beats in a recent times - we can directly think about his latest collaboration with @bas-dobbelaer on Sohaso which is definitely a must have record and his latest EP on F-On's label Alpenglühen. He is also part of the excellent @Isotoop crew, also based in Amsterdam, who organizes some very finest parties in some parts of the globe. Vand is delivering a downtempo selection oscillating between 100-120bpm, a flawless & transcendental session which fits very well with the current situation where we all have to slow it down.
I'm on the first hour with a special ambient selection mostly compiled with my latest Bandcamp finds. Don't forget to support the artists and labels there if you can. Hope you'll enjoy the show.
