Anz | Boiler Room London

Hailing from Manchester, producer and DJ @yung-anz knows what it takes to get the party started. Her self-titled debut EP was released in the summer of 2017, on Manchester club-and-label Chow Down, and was championed by fellow UK club figures like Murlo, Amy Becker and Butterz for its playful, high energy sound - steel percussion blended with UK bassline, half-time 808s, icy grime minimalism and synth polyrhythms. As well as producing her own music, Anz has made beats for grime MCs like Jammz - her track “Mission” featured on his 2016 mixtape, Underdog Season Vol. 1 - and has been honing her DJ skills, often appearing on UK radio stations such as NTS, Rinse and Radar Radio. For the 100th Choice Mix, Anz lets rip, with a riotous hour that, in her own words, “is dedicated to that moment when you decide you’re going out tonight.. the soundtrack to that feeling of anticipation is super important to me. Strictly ‘Friday feeling’ bangers, please use responsibly.”
