LAUREN HENDRICKS: BIOGRAPHY

Lauren Hendricks is a young and upcoming jazz/soul
singer from Cape Town South Africa and is currently
doing her degree in Jazz vocals at the University
Of Cape town . 
Through the years Lauren has graced stages such
as the Artscape Theatre, Baxter Theatre, Waterfront
Amphitheatre, Jackson Hall Grandwest , Grand Arena
Grandwest, City Hall(Cape Town Fringe Festival and
recently performed at the HeartFm Music Festival ,
Jazz On The Rocks and The Heartfm Love Jazz cruise
where she was an opening act artists such Jarrad
Ricketts , Judy Boucher and Alistair Izobell .
She hosted her shows at venues such as the Crypt,
Alma Cafe ,Jazz on the Rocks 2019 and Cafe Roux
performing to local and international audiences.

Recently Lauren was crowned the winner of the
10th Grandwest Open Mic Jazz Competition 2018
(sponsored by Sun international, Heart 104.9fm and
Grandwest Casino and Entertainment World) where
she performed on the Grand Arena stage to over 1000
people . As she finds her way through this industry as
a solo artist she intends to make her name known in
the South African Jazz community .
