James Saunders is one of the most prolific artists in the UK minimal house scene. In only one year he has released in labels like NO ART, WYLD or Airtime among others and now is time of his debut on the label with three amazing original tracks and the dope remix made by Alex Ranerro.

'Wurlitzer Spritzer' is, of course, leaded by a lovely organ melody and surrounded by classic house elements: chords, pads, groovy bassline. The Slovene Alex Ranerro add some swing to the elements to deliver a deep and minimal house hybrid providing a fifty-fifty ratio of dreamy and funky feelings. 'Elevator Ride' is built around a solid bassline for late night moments and 'Summer Breeze' bring to our ears that beach club in the middle of a sunny island.

Madtech welcomes four more rising talents to their Various Artist series with a selection of deep cuts from Aron Volta, Juliche Hernandez, Lose Endz and Attek.

Formed as a sister imprint of Madhouse in 2012, Madtech Records has since clocked up hundreds of releases from some of house music’s best emerging talent, as well as material from some of the biggest names on the scene. Following on from their latest instalment, Madtech’s Various Artist series returns this July tying together productions from Dutch producer Aron Volta, following releases on the likes of Blind Visions and PIV Records, Downhill Music label boss and Spanish artist Juliche Hernandez, recent Nurvous Records signee Lose Endz and Amsterdam’s Attek.

Kicking things off, acid melodies float in and out of Aron Volta’s intricately crafted ‘Eprom Burner’, a cut held together by a deep bass groove and spiralling effects, until Juliche Hernandez layers robotic zaps, spacey atmospherics and bouncy pads with echoing vocals to evoke an otherworldly feel in ‘Orbitax’. Next up, Lose Endz’ ‘Pirucha’ takes it darker with raw kicks, a dubby bass and warm atmospherics, while Attek’s ‘Stuck In My Head’ is a stripped back Detroit house number, coloured with crispy high hats and soulful stabbing chords.

Fresh from announcing the full digitalisation of his second label, Meta, Ben Rau returns to his Inkal imprint with OutThere,  aslicktwo-trackerthatshowcasestheGermantalentathisbest.
“I'm very excited to return to my home Inkal with an EP of two long awaited tracks that have been thoroughly road tested.”  Ben Rau .
The EP begins with title track  Out There , a swelling house cut that merges rolling percussion with funky disco licks, before a heavily delayed vocal calls out to the dancefloor in the breakdown. Driving congas and shuffling hi-hats create a funky peak time track that shows off Ben's big room sensitivities. On the B-side comes  What is Love , a long-awaited and enigmatic house cut that rounds off the release in style. Deep pads swell and ebb, while Ben's signature minimal percussion bleeps and glitches with funk and swing.
A name synonymous with the underground facets of electronic music,  Ben Rau ’s career in such a sphere has developed year on year since his earliest inception into Berlin’s raving circuit. After developing an internal love for the dancefloor, such a passion naturally progressed into a full-time profession where, in 2016, Ben launched his first label, Inkal, as a home for his self-made releases. This was followed by the formation of Meta in 2018, to showcase music from other produces in the scene. Alongside being head of two labels, Ben’s passion for producing has seen his tracks land on the likes of Fuse and Tamango Records, before his incredible remix of Roy Ayers’ legendary  Holiday  was released on BBE in September 2018.

His career began in the late ’90s in the South of France, where music quickly became a gateway to incredible encounters and opportunities. In 2006, he moved to the island of Saint Barthélemy, where he founded Music and Sound, an agency specializing in music production, and artist booking. For six years, he also served as the musical director of Bonito St Barth, curating its unique sound identity.

His travels across the islands and beyond have shaped a rich and eclectic musical culture, allowing him to share his distinctive artistic universe worldwide.

As a producer, he co-created several EPs, including “Brand New Day” a collaboration with Brooklyn singer Mandel Turner under the alias The Hinge Project, released on ISM Records. He also reissued and pressed the EP “El Coco” on vinyl with Kat Records.

In 2022, he teamed up with Parisian collective Le Goût du Son and iconic singer Jacqueline Taïeb to remix her 1967 album. The project, pressed on vinyl and distributed by Warner Chappell, features his remix of “Petite Fille Amour” produced alongside DJ and friend Gabin Nogueira under the name Jean&Gabin. The record “Play it Like Jacqueline” is now available on Discogs and select vinyl stores.

He recently founded SUTTER MUSIC, an musical agency dedicated to private events. From contemporary House to timeless 60’s Soul, his music knows no borders, his DJ sets are designed to take you on a journey.
