JB (aka Subzero)’s deep love for music started at a young age. Having fought through some difficult obstacles, the passion he found for trance music, in may ways, saved him, and allowed him to find not only an escape, but a drive and purpose he’d never previously experienced. 
As the years went on, Subzero began to develop and hone his skills as a trance DJ, securing his first gig at Ministry of Sound in 2013, which led to a year as resident DJ at the world-famous club.
Subzero continued his journey, DJ-ing at many prestigious trance events such as “Trance Sanctuary” and “Elevation Audio”, along with many others.
In 2015 after what he describes as his first of many ‘spiritual awakenings’, Subzero found himself drawn to psychedelic trance, and for the next few years explored this journey of music at notable events and parties such as “Our Evolution” and “Psymera”.
In more recent years, Subzero’s sound has evolved to incorporate more progressive, melodic techno/trance. In 2020 he had the honour of being the first up and coming artist in John 00 Fleming’s mentorship program to be featured for an exclusive hour set on J00F Radio.

I Was Introduced To #Techno In 1988 By A Friend That Called Me From Chicago And He Told Me A Guy Was Mixing 2 Songs At The Same Time On Two Turntables. He Was At A Party In The Basement And I Didn't Believe Him, So He Pointed The Phone Toward The Speaker And Let Me Hear For Myself. A Different Friend In Florida Introduced Me To Tampa's Rave Scene And I Fell In Love With The Atmosphere And People And Music, Such As #HouseMusic #BreakBeat, #TechHouse #Jungle #DnB & #Trance Then I Wanted To Produce Around '95 - '98, But That Never Happened. In the desert of Southern Utah, the sounds of Trance & Progressive music inspire a sacred sanctuary for all that I experience and create. Presented here are the first of my “desigNated” mix compilations, influenced & inspired by the artists whose music lift my soul.

Laurent Veronnez aka Airwave aka many many other guises was born in Brussels in 1977, he is a naturally gifted artist and this manifested in him at the age of just 7.

Influenced by the 80’s and 90’s sounds and by greats such as Kraftwerk, Jean Michel Jarre, Orbital, Oliver Lieb and BT, he honed his skills in music knowledge and technology.

Laurent would then see demos picked up by the infamous Bonzai imprint in 1996 and the stunning Airwave - I want To Believe was released. In 1998 this was picked up by many top DJ’s including Sasha and Oakenfold and later on by an up and coming DJ, Tiesto. 

Airwaves sound was and still is prominent in the UK and Dutch trance scene and this has helped a host of today’s top DJ’s be where they are now. His infectious music spread further in 1999 to Germany, Italy and the world and now Airwave is a very popular name on the EDM scene with a huge, loyal fanbase.

Versatility and great skill in the studio led to many collaborations including with his friend Jurgen Leyers with Fire & Ice and E.N.E.R.G.Y., Georges Petkidis on Planisphere and Marnik Braeckevelt with Antidote. The list continues with many other greats including Yves Deruyter, M.I.K.E., Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Tale, Marcus Schulz and John 00 Fleming, this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Breaking boundaries and turning his hand to many genres of music Laurent has as many as 500+ productions and remixes under his belt. Laurent then started to develop his DJing and live performances and has played in some big venues, Slinky, Gatecrasher, Godskitchen, The Gallery, 1015, Dopler in Bratislava, and many others back in the day.

In 2000 he embarked on a new wave of performance with gigs all over the world in England, Scotland, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Canada, Netherlands, Spain, Finland, Norway, Switzerland, South Africa, with totally improvised keyboards while DJing and the Triloset was born and continues to this day.

Fast approaching 20 years in the business, Laurent can never be pigeon-holed to one genre as his impressive list of albums will attest. His first album Believe in 2002 performed very well and this was to do well again in the 2004 album I Want To Believe. Trilogique soon followed and it is now that Laurent’s passion starts to come through in a big way. Released first in 2006 this album contains three parts, bringing the audience three different tastes of electronic music into one single package, Trilogique would go on to be a huge success reaffirming Laurent’s position in EDM. Many more albums followed and each have made their mark on the world.

Time saw him finally running Bonzai Records with his long time partners and friends, and also expanding his knowledge of acoustics in order to develop his career as a producer and as a sound designer among others.

Laurent runs a monthly radio show called Progrez where he showcases a wide range of music, this is followed religiously by his army of fans the world over. Music that is full of emotion, special and unique with expressed feelings, many have claimed it has changed their lives for the better. When there are discussions on greats of EDM the name Airwave/Laurent always crops up.

He has a deep respect among his peers for his beliefs on the industry and he speaks honestly about how he feels and where he sees his musical vision take him. 

One of the most gifted artists of our time and with a passion still very strong we are sure to see a lot more from this man. Deshaies has been a true electronic music enthusiast since the 90s.
Expatriated to Toronto from 1994 @ 2002, his love for music led him to create Kimosabee Productions which will produce several successful small events while representing several talented DJs from the Toronto scene.

His talents as a communicator will lead Deshaies to develop long-term relationships with renowned establishments such as System SoundBar and Le Mad Bar. He will connect musically with DJs such as Deko-Ze, DJ Hecate, Peter Nomad, François Léveillé, DJ Finch, UFO-B.

After several years strongly influenced by the organic and melodious sounds of our house artists, and a long absence behind the decks, Deshaies returns with a new musical signature.

The rhythms of the percussions, the melodies and the “deep and groovy” sounds of Techno catch his attention. Tech House and Progressive also allow him to find the melodies so important to him. Sometimes heavy, sometimes dark Techno also allows him to express and vary the atmosphere of the story he is trying to tell you.

In 2018 he started producing. It will not take long to leave his imprint there by attracting the attention of Divinorum Recordings with the tracks “Blackdrop” and “Tohl” (Original Mix).

Today, versatile in several genres of music, Deshaies responds to his audience with great energy.

The talented artists Johannes Heil, Julian Jeweil, Layton Giordani, The yellowHeads, Keith Carnal, Moby, Stephan Bodzin, Olivier Giacomotto, to name a few, greatly influenced him in his musical choices.
