Decay got MASSIVE response from the different crowds your LCD frontman Airwave played for recently at different clubs and festivals, and needless to say it's gonna do the damage in your speakers soon. Decay is such a Progressive House/trance beauty you could play in virtually any serious set.  In the middle we got ourselves completely lost in the music. 

On the flip, Sedna lets his melodic part speak a bit more with a gorgeous progressive trance track called Finding Infinity.  By far one of the best releases on the imprint for now, and most probably for a long time. Sedna is truly a man to look out for if your thing is Credible Underground Progressive music.

Laurent remains at the top of his game, his workload as producer and DJ is stacked high but this doesn't stop him creating exquisite cuts. Lots more lined up for the future that we cannot wait to hear! The Original is a wondrous trek deep into the heart of progressive house. The intro gets right to the point with a tough edged kick and a very cool arp that captivates throughout. A deep bass holds the track together beautifully as flowing rhythms are built. Stunning pads run through the track in a subtle manner yet pack a huge punch. The synth work is amazing, creating melodies that intertwine perfectly and climaxing at the break. Solar Fields is without a doubt one of the most talented electronic producers weve seen on this planet. Under moniker Solar Fields, he composed 12 albums and appeared on over 60 various compilations. 

The first solo release, Reflective Frequencies, signed on Ultimae in 2001 presented an ambient music patchwork with a constant yet ever-changing structure, at times cold and mechanic, at others warm and soothing. A very promising debut which set the pace for Blue Moon Station two years later, where the artist explored the high tech downtempo and trance energies and focused on the notion of a long fluid story in a futuristic environment. 


The last couple of years weve seen Solar Fields focusing on the more chill ambient side of his career, so a little nudge and encouragement from label boss John 00 fleming made Solar Fields rediscover this dance side of himself to produce this outstanding master piece that were super proud to release hear at JOOF Recordings. 

Pulse was born. To add icing to this very special cake, a producer that also shares the title of being one of the most talented producers on the planet, firmly put his hand up to do remix duties after hearing the news of our signing. Airwave brings his outstanding breaks goodness making one of the highest quality releases thats weve seen on JOOF Recordings.

Solarfields - Pulse (Airwave remix) Joof Recordings

The first year I went to Burning Man, this was the sunrise anthem. Its probably Rodman's most recognized tune, and has been played my many other DJ's and producers throughout the years, most notably being frequently played by Bassnecter. 
I've tried to balance the idea of making a full on remix, with what I felt was the need to keep the original material and feel intact, and have focused on bringing the sound quality up to current standards, and adding some personal touches that don't change the original idea of the track too much. This is how I feel he should be remembered, as a brilliant, influential producer and caring person.

In their busy schedule, the guys are also both doctors, they have found the time for not one but two brand new tracks. 'When You're Home' is an uplifting trancer that barely gives you room to breathe thanks to it's exciting tempo, except for the break in which Danny Claire's wonderful vocals take over. For 'Jara' the guys team up with A.K.M. for another fierce trance track with the uplifting sound they're known for, but this time with an almost space-like vibe to it.

Daddy (Disclosure Remix) [feat. Naughty Boy]

For Eris’s mixtape “Raving Disco Breaks Vol. 1”, she uses old records to create a new style out of fragments. Many of the selections have been featured heavily in her live DJ sets, including her b2b sets with Octo Octa. Eris accumulated these records slowly, over decades, but it wasn’t until touring last year that she realized a “sound” coalesced in her bag. What does a rave at the disco sound like? Kinda like everyone took ecstasy at the roller rink. On her ecstatic mix, Eris colleges together a genre by scratching-in breaks with horn samples, mixing Disco House with broken beats, dropping Miami Bass jams with Boogie keys and blending Rave tunes with disco vocals. On the mix Eris utilizes turntable techniques such as “doubles” tricks and “hot mixing”—a fast-paced mixing style inspired by her beloved B96 Mixmasters, Chicago’s most popular 1990’s radio DJs. Like all of Eris’s mixes, she weaves strong narratives of embodiment, defiance, cultural transcendence and personal triumph (a classic disco emotion) into a flow of body rockin’ beats, scratches, drops, and sweet melodies. The result is a bass heavy summertime house mix for the psychedelic bad girls, boys and enbys.

It was an absolute honor to participate and contribute to this amazing event.  Having departed from making psy trance several years ago, it was a real blessing to have my path lead me right back to where I had always aimed to be.  In a way it was the first time I had played my music in the environment I intended it for.

It includes music by myself, Tyler (Gibson), and stuff we've created together as Birds of Paradise.  Enjoy!

Looking through my old DAT's, I found this forgotten gem… This was made in Januray 1999. It's a remix of Atmos' classic Klein Aber Doctor done by myself and George Barker, released as Slinky Wizard vs. Green Nuns Remix….BUT this version was done after we had put down our final mix…. Simon popped round for a cuppa and did a live mix on the mixing desk. In the "olden days" before making everything inside a computer people would make their sequenced mix then put everything on a loop and make a live mix on the analogue mixing desk twisting the FX and EQ's, playing the desk like an instrument……this was a trick learnt from the days of Youth's Butterfly Studios….. Simon P., Ott and Greg Hunter were masters of this.Then you could edit it down into a few minutes. So this is Simon's live mix of our remix….its about 19 minutes long and very psychedelic! Enjoy!

Atmos - Klein Aber Doctor (Slinky Nuns remix - Hallucinogen dub mix)

Aquarian makes and plays music that feels familiar but is hard to pin down. His take on techno, jungle, rave and bass is alien and unique, a blend of the Berlin, London and Detroit sounds we all know and love, but with a little something extra injected into it to give it a mutant sense of funk. The Canadian is now based in Germany and has released on Quiet Time Tapes as well as his own Hanger Management.

His mix is a devastating study in rhythm, contorted drum programming and warped bass that is stripped back to its bare essentials but that is constantly on the move and keeping you guessing. It starts off twisted and tightly coiled, complex and involving, but slowly loosens up and heads straight forward in thrilling fashion. Electro, ghetto, IDM, drum & bass and more all get chawed up and spat out in ways that only Aquarian can.

An incredible talent and a HUGE favourite in the Perfecto Records office (Paul Oakenfold included 3 or 4 of his productions on his recent Four Seasons compilation release!!) we were more than wet with excitement when he obliged to rework this record. Pumping bass, beats and his trademarks ethnic samples makes this an unforgettable storming track!

When translated from Spanish the title means “I want”.

Laurent Veronnez aka Airwave aka many many other guises was born in Brussels in 1977, he is a naturally gifted artist and this manifested in him at the age of just 7.

Influenced by the 80’s and 90’s sounds and by greats such as Kraftwerk, Jean Michel Jarre, Orbital, Oliver Lieb and BT, he honed his skills in music knowledge and technology.

Laurent would then see demos picked up by the infamous Bonzai imprint in 1996 and the stunning Airwave - I want To Believe was released. In 1998 this was picked up by many top DJ’s including Sasha and Oakenfold and later on by an up and coming DJ, Tiesto. 

Airwaves sound was and still is prominent in the UK and Dutch trance scene and this has helped a host of today’s top DJ’s be where they are now. His infectious music spread further in 1999 to Germany, Italy and the world and now Airwave is a very popular name on the EDM scene with a huge, loyal fanbase.

Versatility and great skill in the studio led to many collaborations including with his friend Jurgen Leyers with Fire & Ice and E.N.E.R.G.Y., Georges Petkidis on Planisphere and Marnik Braeckevelt with Antidote. The list continues with many other greats including Yves Deruyter, M.I.K.E., Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Tale, Marcus Schulz and John 00 Fleming, this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Breaking boundaries and turning his hand to many genres of music Laurent has as many as 500+ productions and remixes under his belt. Laurent then started to develop his DJing and live performances and has played in some big venues, Slinky, Gatecrasher, Godskitchen, The Gallery, 1015, Dopler in Bratislava, and many others back in the day.

In 2000 he embarked on a new wave of performance with gigs all over the world in England, Scotland, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Canada, Netherlands, Spain, Finland, Norway, Switzerland, South Africa, with totally improvised keyboards while DJing and the Triloset was born and continues to this day.

Fast approaching 20 years in the business, Laurent can never be pigeon-holed to one genre as his impressive list of albums will attest. His first album Believe in 2002 performed very well and this was to do well again in the 2004 album I Want To Believe. Trilogique soon followed and it is now that Laurent’s passion starts to come through in a big way. Released first in 2006 this album contains three parts, bringing the audience three different tastes of electronic music into one single package, Trilogique would go on to be a huge success reaffirming Laurent’s position in EDM. Many more albums followed and each have made their mark on the world.

Time saw him finally running Bonzai Records with his long time partners and friends, and also expanding his knowledge of acoustics in order to develop his career as a producer and as a sound designer among others.

Laurent runs a monthly radio show called Progrez where he showcases a wide range of music, this is followed religiously by his army of fans the world over. Music that is full of emotion, special and unique with expressed feelings, many have claimed it has changed their lives for the better. When there are discussions on greats of EDM the name Airwave/Laurent always crops up.

He has a deep respect among his peers for his beliefs on the industry and he speaks honestly about how he feels and where he sees his musical vision take him. 

One of the most gifted artists of our time and with a passion still very strong we are sure to see a lot more from this man.
