STATIC DELIGHT RECORDS .. THE BIGGEST PROMOTION IN THE ALGARVE !!

HISTORY:

Static Delight Records was founded by Matt Moore and Stuart Kettridge with the help of Steve Reeve and Adil Meghji in 2006. These four individuals had areas of expertise in different areas. For Matt Moore it was his extensive experience in owning and promoting several bars and clubs within the UK and Portugal with a massive portfolio of worldwide dj bookings. Stuart Kettridge was a experienced dj and producer who worked and owned one of the biggest, longest standing record shops in the south east of England so had a wide range of distribution companies ready to help. Steve Reeve is a very talented artist who was and still is well ahead of the times with his very distinct sounding garage, dubstep and house productions and when it comes to piano or a keyboard he is flawless. Adil Meghji, as well as being well within the music scene, was highly experienced and talented in artwork and ideas who also owns a print and design company.You can now see why this was such a strong package for us and how it has continued to improve with fresh help over the years.

The labels first release came on vinyl called the Static EP. We all comes from a vinyl history but todays demand for mp3 and WAV left us with the decission to discontinue further vinyl releases. Our best charting remix was a dj tool that a company did not have permission to sell on our behalf and reached number 2 on Dj Download.com and number 5 on Ministry Of Sound which was called "U Got the Luv" and was wrongly titled as the Dj Rascall Rmx as all four of the original team sat there and produced it. Static Delight Records since then has become a larger team with several staff and artists on board including Mark Martin (one half of Studio Tan) who is now Static Delights A&R Manager and primary remixer. Mark Martin and Stuart Kettridge are also the production duo known as Studio Tan.
As a label we supply a constant stream of free dj tools and original tracks which you will be able to find on all the usual download sites. As a promotion we are based in the heart of Albuferia, Algarve, Portugal with several nights throughout the week in and around the main strip including Matts Bar, Kiss Club throughout the year and Boat Parties each saturday from Vilamoura Marina during the summer. You can also find Matt Moore around different worldwide events and from 2013 Studio Tan will be working with some of the major promoters and clubs in the UK.

Static Delight Records is officially supported by Monster Energy but the Artists and Brands that have been helping us by supporting the tracks and promotions past and future is amazing with the likes of The D.O.N.S, BeatThiefs, Chocolate Puma, Damien Stone, Pukka Up, Hat Club, Faomo, Kenzie, Fresk Musik, Doors Can Jam, Odd One Out, House Assassins, Jerry Anthony, Apollo84, Mr Rich and all the guys and girls from Funkyfm.net and local promoters to just name but a few…. your all loved ! ;) X

The Static Team ….


He grew up listening to tapepacks of all early garage events and was a follower of heartless crew on the pirate radio scene when they were on Mission fm. It was these early days that Wattsie developed a real passion for music and the art of Djing, hungry to know what it was all about. 

Although wasn't until he realised a guy from school had his own turntables and would go round to his house to watch an learn and thats when real hunger took over. 
Wattsie finally got his own set of decks back in 1999 and started to build up a vast collection of garage vinyl and begun his journey. His début on radio was on Temptation Fm, with his, then crew, ''the Lyrikal Lords'' ,when he left school he went solo on Flava Fm. Wattsie was regular on the pirate radio scene, but 2009 was a turning point for him when he joined the Legendary Phatbeats, starting off with a show that lasted a few hours then he embarked on the now ''industry renowned'' Marathon shows which went on for six, sometimes eight hours, earning him the well deserved title of ''Marathon man'' 

Wattsie's main influences during his career have been the Heartless Crew and the one and only DJ EZ, and over the years he has worked with some of the best DJs and MCs on the scene including CKP, Creed and Preshus MC.

Although radio is close to his heart, he has played out at many venues in and around London including X zone bar in Enfield, Legends in Barking, Edwards/Yates/Time and Envy/Liquid and Envy/Buddha Lounge/Brannigans/club Ciroc/Kosho/Hollywoods all in Romford and also the End and Sound London.

Now the story continues as i play resident to club heaven in albufeira portugal ...............
