Joppe Tanghe (Ghent, BE) continues to share stories of life. Defining moments of joy or despair find their way to his music, resulting in compelling tales. In "Far Away", Joppe croons about the loss of mental awareness, how Alzheimer's touches his loved ones and how it looms over life. 
This plays against a backdrop of sparse electronic beats that slowly get replaced by a gradually growing orchestra, until only the orchestra remains. Much like the thoughts of here and now, of past and present making way for a stream of the unknown and uncertainty.

"You look familiar in the end"... Leave it to Joppe to keep a positive view - against sometimes overwhelming odds, in music ànd in life.

Admittedly, the extract from the still belies the line in this week's @naviar-records haiku poem challenge. The actual line is "half-asleep eyes", but we'll go with what's in the image. This week I've been collaging splice sounds and playing them live in Ableton, then drastically re-editing. I wanted to mix up how I'm making music. Break habits and form new.

iXOtrope (Project X)

Steffen is a musician throughout. At an early age he learned to play the guitar and performed in his school band. Later, he came in contact with electronic music, which led to the first steps in producing his own music on the computer and performing short live sets. During his years at university, he became friends with Christian Löffler who deeply influenced and inspired him to find his own unique style of deep electronic soulful music. After a year with no music production at all, Steffen has now phoenixed in 2016 to reach a whole new level of deepness and spirituality in his compositions. His tracks contain organic and spiritual elements like shaman drums, holy chants and field recordings that reflect the beauty of nature. He enjoys playing DJ-Sets as much as his own Live-Sets. Lately he started focusing on working together with shamans and healers and supports them at workshops, rituals and Healing-Sessions with his Sound.

In Cocoon Crush, Objekt diverges further still from his musical influences to craft the purest manifestation of his own musical personality to date: an intriguing and enigmatic album whose reference points are hard to pin down, in which ghostly synth passages weave through mind-bending, weighty drums, and ASMR-triggering foley collages scrape and sparkle. Through meticulous sculpting, Objekt traces a rich and impressionistic journey through claustrophobia, hope, guilt, anxiety and joy, nested in layers of sonic detail which reward with every listen.

Laut & Luise is a Music Lovers Club from Berlin && Cologne

Laut & Luise releases carefully selected music on vinyl, individually touched and underlined by a special and characteristic artwork in order to give back at least some love.

Luise herself provides dance music, calm and dubby, still with a definite focus on house and techno.

Aside from the main label, our younger imprint Luettje Luise is meant to be a playground for sounds beyond genres and borders, trying to stay open-minded like daddy Ernst Jandl was.

What is the opposite of little? Lost. A new little sub by Laut & Luise, limited to nothing but a digital playback device and labeled with a mouse crafted artwork. Lost in Luise, for the digital natives and the internet explorers.
