What are the world's greatest accidental inventions? Penicillin, X-ray and... bubbling! The catchy genre - developed in the '90s after DJ Moortje mistakenly played a dancehall record at a faster tempo - has turned into a club music with an energy hard to resist, honed by the likes of Chuckie or De Schuurman. Now, London's Club Yeke puts spotlight on two names from the new wave of bubbling champions, Styn and DJ Rtje, who used old-school drum kits to create 'Bobblesaus', a collection of frenetic tracks adhering to genre's principles with added flavours ranging from Surinamese kawina music to jungle and grime.

On “Dabkecore شعلت”, Laylit’s very own Nadim Maghzal (@nadim-maghzal) lends his signature frenetic touch to a Syrian Dabke classic. A rousing staple of the Laylit party dancefloor, Maghzal’s remix doubles down on the percussion and unleashes a dance of infectious vocal loops around the electric Dabkeh keyboard.

On her sparse yet entrancing remix of Syrian singer Saria El-Sawas’ beloved “Bas Esma3 Minni”, Loris (@lorisms)  gives Sawas’ voice center stage. Echoing around a swooning drum track, El-Sawas’ assertive plea sounds as irresistible as ever.
