The album officially came out in 2004 and now the CD reissue is being released by Below System Records. This 2015 reissue includes 2 new bonus tracks which are "Globetrotter" featuring AKD and "GMO".

"A Long Hot Summer" is the fifth solo album of Masta Ace. The album is about Masta Ace's journey as an underground rapper through his "Long Hot Summer" in Brooklyn, together with his unofficial manager Fats Belvedere. This album includes fan favorites such as "Good Ol Love", "Da Grind", "Beautiful", "Bklyn Masala" and guest appearances like Jean Grae, Big Noyd, Wordsworth, Edo G, The Beatnuts, Rahzel and more. With great producers like Dug Infinite, 9th Wonder, Khrysis, DJ Spinna and Marco Polo, "A Long Hot Summer" is a classic Masta Ace album.

''Superiority'' the new single from German DJ/Producer, Superior. The king-sized beat displays a thumping kick-drum under a soulful vocal sample and vibraphone.  Beantown spitter, Reks guests on the track, delivering equally heavy rhymes.  Regarding the message of the track Reks said ''Hip Hop and Rap has always been a sort of competition. It is my main goal to keep getting better with everything I do.''

The single will be available digitally this Friday (12/11) via Below System Records along with a remix (also produced by Superior) and instrumental versions.  Active as a DJ since 1989, Superior’s cuts and productions have graced tracks from German and international artists over the years.  He is best known in his home country for his work as a member of the group Hip Hop Ataris (along with Heikouality).  

2015 has already been a banner year for Superior, with the release of his solo album Scenes. A single with Planet Asia entitled ''Rap Champion'' also materialized.  ''Superiority'' however is the first taste of his forthcoming 2016 album and bodes for big things to come.

The next single from the album ''Def By Stereo'' is the Beat Bruisers admittedly favorite track on the album “Now.”  Incorporating live guitar and bass with sampling Suplex reveals the theme of the track “it’s about the conditions we grew up in, being poor as fuck in a rough neighborhood and struggling with our fucked up parents.”

''Def By Stereo'', the full-length debut by production team, The Beat Bruisers. The Southern California based duo is composed of producer Suplex and producer/emcee Harsh Ramirez.  With years of work and experience in the game individually, the duo joined forces recently and developed a potent chemistry.  Joining Ramirez on mic duties through the entire album is Grimy NY all-star Ruste Juxx and rising L.A. spitter Pawz One.

Speaking on the genesis of the album Suplex said “we knew that we wanted to put out an album with emcees that stayed active. We didn’t consciously intend to make a whole album with that line-up but before we knew it we had a few songs completed and just decided to keep going.”
