Trine Opsahl is a composer, harpist and harp therapist living in Denmark, Europe.
Trine has issued five albums which have been well received by audience and reviewers. 
Her latest album "Add Colours to my Sunset Sky" has been submitted for the 60th Grammy Awards.
Trine is a pioneer of harp therapy in Denmark and works as a harp therapist at hospices playing for the terminally ill and their relatives. She is a Certified Therapeutic Harp Practitioner (CTHP) from the International Harp Therapy Programme.

Pianist, composer and singer who lives on a tiny, pretty island in the Puget Sound. I consider myself above all else a creator, whether I'm writing words, composing melodies, or indulging in my hobby homesteading (garden growing, berry/nettle gathering, cooking, baking, knitting, canning, etc.). There's nothing sweeter in life than writing new music or singing harmony with other talented musicians.

I grew up at the keyboard, with my mom -- a church pianist and teacher -- as my first instructor. I also used to run my own piano studio. These days, my eight-year-old son loves to sit under our baby grand and hum along and build with Legos when I play. My piano and composer influences are Liz Story, Nils Frahm, Max Richter, and others.

I'm an HR specialist for AOL/Huffington Post by day, but still like to compose and play for enjoyment. I'm not the best pianist, but I have a great ear, good instincts, a solid grasp of music theory, a warm touch on the keys, and a strong conviction about the mood I want to convey in my pieces. I'm hoping to re-work and professionally record my first CD of original works this year. 

Studied piano from the age of five and went on to study piano performance at The Masters College and The University of Texas at Austin. Though, I switched to a Journalism/PR major, thinking I'd make more money. And, as ironic as it sounds, I actually have. But in my heart of hearts, I'll always be a composer, pianist and singer first. That was my first identity in life, and it's still the most accurate and authentic description of who I am today. 

Many of my pieces here are marked as works in progress. They're still taking shape, so while I'll ask first for your forgiveness both for their still-evolving content and very poor recording quality (done on my iPad's voice memo app), I also hope you can find some enjoyment in listening to my heart take shape on the keys.
