“The PrAir”  is a mixture of Kid Cudi's "The Prayer" from his first official mixtape, A KiD Named CuDi (2008) and "Air" from by JS Bach's Orchestral Suite No. 3 in D major, BWV 1068 (1703). Cudi's lyrics describe mental issues such as anxiety, depression, insomnia, and existential worries; things we all experience from time to time. These lyrics mixed with the comforting chords and melodies of "Air on the G string" provide a gentle reminder that life has its up's and downs and everything will settle down eventually.
Kid Cudi is a rapper, singer, and film composer. His songs are often melodic, yet purposely sung off key. Many of Kid Cudi's songs are emotionally powerful and introspective. “The Prayer” by Kid Cudi samples “The Funeral” by Band of Horses. Both songs are in the key of G major. The melodies of both "Air" from by JS Bach's Orchestral Suite No. 3 in D major and “The Prayer” harmonized well enough to avoid the need to pitch modulate. Unfortunately, the chorus of “The Prayer” musically strayed too far from “Air” and was removed from the remix. The lyrics of the Chorus for those interested are:
