Wie ein zartes meeresrauschen begleitet uns dieses kleine Musikstück in eine andere fast dahinschwebende Zeitinsel. 
All die Gedanken die wir zuvor einst in den Sand gemalt, verwischen die Wellen.

Im Grunde bleibt nichts als nur ein flüchtiger Traum in der Mitternacht.

Like a gentle sound of the sea, this little piece of music accompanies us to another, almost floating island in time.
All the thoughts that we once painted in the sand are blurred by the waves.

Basically, nothing remains but a fleeting dream in the midnight.

In this brief moment, we exist here and now
In the gentle embrace of the present, we vow
To cherish each heartbeat, each breath we take
For the future is unknown, the past we cannot forsake


Walking through time, guided by the stars above
Hearing the voices of ancient love
Embracing the journey, a dance with destiny
In the emotions of memories, we find some peace

I write, erase, rewrite
erase again, and then
a poppy blooms.

This is the death poem of Tachibana Hokushi, sometimes wrongly attributed to the Japanese painter Katsushika Hokusai.

Tachibana Hokushi, whose real name was Tachibana Genjiro, was born in Kanazawa in 1665. Hokushi was one of Basho’s most famous students at the time, and he even accompanied the great master during part of his famous journey through the narrow roads of the North, from Kanazawa to Matsuoka.
