Monochrome presents, 𝖍𝖎𝖛𝖊𝖗 𝖑𝓥 : Solma, Virtual Forest Records.

This winter, Monochrome is offering each month to one or several artists to discover their influences and inspirations through a forty-five minute to two hour recording. These three recordings will focus on percussive rhythms between Ambient, Deep Techno and Drum & Bass.

Artist biography :
Co-founder of Virtual Forest Records, Paris-based producer Solma draws his inspiration from the hypnotic sounds of modern deep techno and the energetic grooves of UK bass music to produce psychedelic music at the crossroads of styles.

Passionate about deep, organic and striking sounds, French DJ/producer @max-duret has been creating music for four years. 

From Ambient, HalfBeat, Techno and Psytrance, he likes mixing several styles to create his own musical experience.
He is in constant search of new sounds, creating a captivating, mesmerizing and emotional atmosphere

For our nineteenth instalment we've invited Agur, a Brussels-based artist and co-founder of Keskival; a festival that's dedicated to promote a new kind of celebration – one that’s more participatory and environmentally conscious. 

Deeply connected to nature, his music is built around the world of biomes, navigating between forests, oceans, plains, and mountains. In every aspect, the sounds remain immersive and rhythmic, blending organic textures, dynamic basslines, and fluid percussion.

We are thrilled to present the 10th-anniversary release on our label by Ehndo @ehndomusic - a musical project of Bautista Falco, a young artist from Buenos Aires, Argentina.

‘Genesis’ marks the start of his musical journey, blending deep and psychedelic sounds with a broad and exploratory approach. Inspired by life in Buenos Aires, this album reflects the artist’s day-to-day experiences and the different moods he has navigated over the past few years. From slow tempos and warm pads to broken rhythms and brain-dancing patterns, ‘Genesis’ evolves into 4-on-the-floor trance-inspired beats.

Absorbed Terrain mixes music, field recordings, and stories collected from our surrounding environments. Episodes will feature musicians, ethnomusicologists, biologists, archivists, and writers working within the venn diagram of sound and environment. 

Mara Schwerdtfeger is a composer and curator based in Eora Sydney. She plays the viola and collaborates with her laptop to create live performances and recorded pieces for film, dance, and gallery spaces. Informed by interactions and perspectives within environments, her work questions the coexistence and understanding between those who inhabit them.
