The release of a debut album should be something to celebrate. But how would unbridled cheer be possible when your home country is invaded and uncertainty is the only consistent factor in your life?
Still, despite this troublesome period, marked by great anxiety and grave concern, Ukraine native Lostlojic releases his first LP, Мамай (pronounced ‘Mamay’), on our TECH-UM label. The title is derived from the legendary Cossack folk hero of the same name, who symbolizes the strength, freedom and fidelity of the Ukrainian people. Its ten compositions transform and hypnotize the listener, or shoot a sudden jolt of electricity through their bodies. ‘Rosebud’, for instance, takes its name from – and features a sample of – Orson Welles’ 1941 landmark film Citizen Kane and is more than just pleasing to the ear; it’s a state of mind. The Ukrainian wunderkind knows how to play upon your aural perception like no other!  Many of its pieces are permeated with repeating phrases, which help you lull into the perfect mental state in which to fully grasp and enjoy this revolutionary record. The album’s atmosphere seems at times to be grim, then mysterious, even alternately welcoming or hinting at hope and desire and in some instances convey all of these sensations at once. Which is, of course, quite fitting for the trying times we find ourselves in right now. It’s a major factor why this stunning debut necessitates repeated listening! A special edition of Mamay will be released, sporting a cover design that features the Ukrainian flag.
All profits from this LP will be contributed to Lostlojic’s home country in this time of great need!

This particular track dances in the realms of electronica with punchy bass notes and hypnotic overlays. Another stellar release from one of our favorite labels.

Ópalo is the alias of the dj/musician and producer Alejandro Romero. 
The purpose of this name is to give a concept to the experimental, downtempo and ambient style music that the artist proposes. 

With this alias Ópalo has already released an LP on his own label 'Caracteres'. For his live performances Ópalo uses two formats, a dj set or a live set. His dj sets are known for mixing music from various eras, especially experimental concepts within downtempo. His live sets take on a rather introspective feel where the artist takes the opportunity to show his processes inside the studio when composing. 

In retrospect Ópalo is a project that proposes urban sounds, deep and human content using a futuristic language that at the same time recycles elements from the past, especially from the music of the nineties.

Dealing With Love is an album that mixes electronic, IDM and downtempo sounds. The content of the album could be considered esoteric in nature, however there are nuances that also invite to let off steam and to see things from the inside out. 

The process of the album seeks to integrate the different parts that the artist has been working with his interpersonal relationships. Most of the songs were composed in the outskirts of Quito in a community dedicated to permaculture. 

Dealing with love is an exaltation to the strong emotions that awaken both manual, intellectual and spiritual work.
