It was a Saturday at 4 pm, the sun was shining on the island and people were shining too - happy, no worries in sight, just enjoying life. Some people were even dancing in the water. Friends dancing in the back and up front, while Cookie whipped up some mouthwatering cocktails – it was an all-around beautiful scene, a perfect afternoon.

Thanks to all the sweet people who made that possible.

We will carry that sunny afternoon for a looong time in our hearts. 🧡🧡

I think this might have been my favorite club party gig in 2023. What a boiling sauna experience! Thanks to my support crew for eagerly providing me with some handmade air during my set. :D

here is the Set that I played last Saturday on the Acid Bogen Floor at Kater Blau. My urge to play downtempo grew a lot the past time. I was missing this deep vibe, that is not obviously pushing you, but welcomes you with open arms, so you can fall, fall, fall. So I tried to stay on one of my favorite Tempos "109BPM" unfolding the vibe not with faster tempo, but only deeper and deeper music. And boy it worked. Thanks so much to everyone on the floor for being so open and letting go so much to create this free, gutturally boisterous vibe on the floor together. It was really magical <3

It’s a moment that Stuart McKeown and Darius Bassiray know all too well. As part of Melbourne’s Zero Tolerance crew and two-thirds of Depth Institute, they champion its contemporary incarnation, releasing on labels like Mango Alley, Sound Avenue, and, of course, Zero Tolerance.  

They also lived through it, making them perfectly positioned to pontificate on the scene. ✔️ What are your musical influences? What is your musical background? 
My musical influences are deeply rooted in my childhood, where I grew up as a dancer in Australia from the age of 5. This early connection between movement and music shaped my intuitive understanding of rhythm and flow. My upbringing in a family of deep music enthusiasts also played a significant role. 
As I grew older, this expanded into the electronic vortex, inspired initially by Zigan Aldi who led me to develop a fascination for intricate subgenres that challenge categorisation.  Moving to London five years ago was what can only be described as a rebirth, exposing me to the vibrant underground scene. By 2021, after years of being a dancefloor veteran I began channeling my passion into DJing. For me, it became a therapeutic practice of self expression and creative freedom that I have become completely addicted to. 

✔️ What makes good “afterhour”? 
For me personally, a good after hour is like stepping into a parallel universe. It’s a space where time slows and the music speaks directly to the soul. It runs much deeper than the peak time energy, offering a chance to guide the dance floor on an intimate journey through more experimental sounds. 
I’m drawn to dark, rolling basslines layered with psychedelic rhythms and hypnotic melodies that unlock the mind and create a collective experience where ravers feel connected on a deeper level.  At its best, an after hour feels like diving headfirst into the rabbit hole. It’s raw, personal, and immersive - my sweet spot where the true essence of underground culture comes alive.

✔️ What was your experience of the set you recorded? 
This set was recorded at a special, community driven event in London for Calypso, held in an intimate secret location that turned out to be Folklore. The venue was incredible - stunning psychedelic decor, warm lighting, creating an energy that made everything feel alive. It was the kind of place where all of your senses are heightened, and you can’t help but be completely present in the moment.
I was playing in support of Queen Britta Arnold. It gave me the freedom to lean fully into my after hour vibe and bring a bit of that Berlin energy to London. That kind of deep, trippy sound isn’t something you often get to explore here, so I just went for it.
Honestly, this was one of my favourite sets that I’ve played., showcasing music from some of my favourite producers that I deeply respect - they drive my passion.  It felt completely natural, like I wasn’t overthinking or holding back; I was just playing the music that resonates with me the most right now and felt super connected to the crowd. Everything about the night, from the people to the setting, made it feel raw, real and interconnected.

Still buzzing from the my dear friend Mira's birthday celebration party, which became a tradition for me to attend over the years (check my last years set's caption for a little backstory) I again had the honor of playing at 47 Katzen Tanzen Auf'm Tisch at Heinz Hopper this past Sunday afternoon after my dear friend, super talented MANTi and before the legend Echonomist. I danced with a lot of friends around the world, heard incredible sets from dear colleagues and friends and I felt like it was a healing experience for me at the right moment and it reconnected me with why I do what I do <3  Happy to share my set from Sunday afternoon, I hope you enjoy

Still buzzing from celebrating my dear friend @mira_kater birthday—a cherished tradition I’ve been lucky to be part of over the years at KaterBlau . From Sunday night into Monday morning, I had the honor of playing at 47 Katzen Tanzen Auf’m Tisch at Heinz Hopper (3–6 AM), sandwiched between the legendary @jonathankaspar and my dear friends  @mila-stern and @skalared , who absolutely crushed their first-ever B2B set 🤯
The night/day was pure magic. I danced, laughed, and connected with friends from all over the world, soaked in incredible sets from beloved colleagues, and felt so reconnected with why I love what I do 🫂🩶 I also got to test out a couple of new ideas I’ve been working on, drop a track from an EP coming out in 2025, and play some remixes that’ll be out soon 😚🫶🏼Happy to share the recording of my set 😻

💭 Die Psychosomatik wirkt stetig und ständig. Die Psyche ist absolut unbändig. Wenn es unterbewusst nicht passt, wird es körperlich bemerkbar gemacht. Gesundheit ist die Reinheit in der Mitte, so war es früher gängig und auch Sitte. Sollte auch heute bei uns kultiviert werden, damit wir gesund leben und glücklich sterben.

🎵 Heute haben wir den Münchner Dr. Schneckno auf KataHaifisch zu Gast. Mit diesem Set macht er seinem Namen alle Ehre. Es wird gemütlich bouncend und gleichzeitig druckvoll. Die hüpfenden Basslines werden von schmeichelnden Vocals umgarnt. Ausgeklügelte Percussionteppiche schaffen diverse Rhythmen und die stimmungsvolle Atmosphäre macht Lust auf mehr. 

Wir tanzen mit einem Lächeln in Richtung Wochenende und bedanken uns recht herzlich beim Dr. des Dark Downtempo 🤎

In the summer of 2021, I had the privilege to play at the very first official naked tea party in Sisyphos around sunset hours. That gig was so incredibly special that I didn't expect how long I'd need to wait to play there again.... But, more than 3 years later, the patience has paid off, and I finally received the honor to live my dream of playing in Dampfer. As if this wasn't enough, I got to play during prime time and even got half-hour of additional playtime (: 

There's something very special about first times that can definitely be felt in this set - especially in Sisyphos, a place where I have often felt at home and which has deeply impacted the course of my life. I bow in gratitude for everything this club has brought into my life and shifted within me and, of course, for this amazing opportunity 🙏🏻

A heartfelt thanks goes to Danielle for holding the space so beautifully and to all the naked ducks who danced with me throughout this journey - which turned out to be my hardest set so far.

Jedes mal wieder ein Abenteuer, wenn wir drei uns sehen. Das passiert zwar nicht so oft, wird aber jedes mal episch unvorhersehbar.

Nach einer schönen Zeit beim Skalar Festival im Juni haben wir uns sehr gefreut wieder die lieben Leute zu treffen und die Festival Vibes im Kater Blau aufleben zu lassen!

Komplett spontan mit ohne Plan in dieses Set gestartet, es wurde zu einer swaggy Reise mit trolligen Einschüben, eine farbenfrohe Symbiose von drei Herzen.
Die Leute hätten nicht sweeter sein können, wir haben viel gelacht, getanzt und quatsch gemacht :D
Der Kuckuck durfte auch spontan länger aufbleiben – mehr Zeit zum sheeshen <3
