Purelink is the brainchild of Tommy (@raw_silk), Akeem (@millia-rage) and Ben (@kind_tree).  All talented producers in their own right, the three are based in Chicago and have been making tunes together that last year or so, featuring on recent comps from Naive, Lillerne Tapes and Chicago Research.

Throughout their Animix they showcase some of their own forthcoming productions amidst a magical downtempo exploration. I love the balance between foggy and  euphoric they've managed to create in this hour long trip.

"Animas-k" is partly a collection of old tracks extracted from several albums in my discography, slightly or heavily "modernized", with the addition of 3 unreleased tracks.
In my life I have traveled and still travel a lot, except for 2020 when for major forces I decided to take a break, together with my backpack I never miss my camera and my equipment for Field-recording.
Capturing sounds, soundscapes, traditions, especially ceremonies of various contexts are a passion of mine, bringing home an "immortalized" moment through the recorder gives me immense joy, everyone has fun with photos and videos, but in my travels the prerogative is sounds and smells, the latter is part of my work.
Yes, by dint of traveling it has also become my job, I opened a company in Burkina Faso in 2007, then in Madagascar and Uganda, I export medicinal plants, spices, tea, but one of my great passions is aromatic materials for incense.
Fumigations and incenses in general have always been linked to ceremonies, rites, offers, these 2 aspects are linked to each other, singing, percussion, hypnotic sound, with the essences that emanate from the braziers create a mystical, deep atmosphere, collection. UK based producer Hugo Massien has been slowly but surely making a name for himself over the past few years. Metamorphosis marks Hugo’s debut LP on the E-Beamz Record label.

Having first released in 2014 he quickly built a legion of fans who absolutely loved his bass heavy breaks, sometimes wonky beats, trance rave, and acid tinged sound. By 2018 he had released a winning string of EPs on various imprints including XL Recordings, Keysound, 17 Steps, Unknown to the Unknown and of course E-Beamz.

He now drops his debut album Metamorphosis which brings together all the best elements of Hugo’s creativity into one cohesive release.

Although rhythmic and dance floor worthy, this track’s primary form takes on the immersion of a Transcendental Meditation. With a driving mantra present throughout, it works through different pockets of your mind; surfacing, making sense of and setting free buried thoughts, while always returning to the propulsive sedation of this motif.

Since debuting modestly in 2014 under the alias Kaboko, Lazy Pluto has juggled a diverse array of inspirations, including early-’80s funk and electro, art rock, raw and classicist house, and Dubstep, while putting a fresh spin on the forms to decayed, disorienting effect.

“Ambient music is something that can be used as a tool, I’ll often use ambient music for meditative purposes, you can create such an interesting emotional sensation with this genre, it’s beautiful and relatively unexplored.”
