Dear compatriot Cap has been steadily building a reputation as one of the most consistently interesting and engaging selectors on the circuit. 

Over the course of a decade-plus of friendship, we have seen his taste mature and refine like a fine wine. Blessed with a level of technical skills up there with the best of them, Cap is easily one of our favorites. Those that have witnessed his Sunwaves performances, year in and year out, know exactly what we are on about.

By now, OTIS and Paul Lution should be well-known names, and perhaps if you have not caught them performing in solo mode or collectively, then you will have undoubtedly caught some of their studio output in recent months. Being part of the Outcast Torino extended family, both artists have been in high demand and with their powerful audio creations speaking volumes at the moment this is surely only going to grow and grow. Collectively, this duo combine their love of electronics, dancefloor knowledge and even instruments to form an outrageous live act called Punky and The Brain. Perhaps the 90s cartoon reference may be lost on some, their madcap sets fuse electric guitar, live synths, and vocoded vocals into something akin to a rock performance rather than an electro pairing.

For those that do remember the cartoon from the mid 90s, the opening track from their InSessions recording is a timely reminder before they launch into the main section of their set. With their sound sitting in the sweet spot between Italo, nu school electro, acid, and breaks OTIS and Paul quickly move the gears in order to present their full spectrum in quick succession. With the pair performing in safety specs and white lab coats there is a clear case of style and substance, not just one over the other.

Built on the fundamentals of tight grooves and basslines so sweet that they are just meant to be. His tracks have found their way into almost all conceivable record bags, the world over and will continue to do so. “Diego Pazos is a DJ/producer from Guayaquil who has been representing the underground scene in Ecuador since 2021. His love for music can be seen from his origins, deeply influenced by the Guayaquil rap and hip-hop scene. This is how he built a special connection with the vinyl format and a passion for the technical side of turntable repair.

With the help of turntable legend DJ Cone, Stepzz founded his personal project “Los Discos de Pepe,” a project that aims to fulfill several activities: vinyl sales, technical service, event promotion, and cultural outreach. The most important aspect of this concept is the connection with his closest colleagues when it comes to choosing the music to sell, listen to, or dance to.“
