Welcome to the world of the Obnoxious MC: P.O.P., formally known as Pop aka Psykotik Born on the warm summer night of August 3, 1992. An artist whose lyrics are fueled by doubt, harsh criticism, shock value, personal opinion and the ability to laugh at his own shortcomings. He grew up in the Eastern Shore (Southeast) region of Maryland where tourism and beach life is more prominent than Hip Hop. Despite all this he mostly seen the other side of the E-Shore tracks which consist of drugs and crime, to which his mother was dealing as well as addicted and he failed to acknowledge most of the time due to always being in his own world. Music distracted him from the wild lifestyle around him. Raised by his father, Pop had open access to music his mother had forbidden because of his age. While his mother was in prison he used music to cope with depression, and was his one and only outlet and practically all he had. Over the years of sharpening his blade musically, he noticed a difference in vocal cadence, flow and delivery. His first official offering “The Mad Rapper” was released November 10th, 2009. The mixtape is a self-marked time in history because it was released around the time he dropped out of high school and was the stepping stone to the new forthcoming dynamic sound that was lead ahead later. P.O.P. went full throttle and released his 2nd official effort “F.O.S. Volume 1” on March 22nd, 2010, which came out 2 months after settling in Philadelphia and is regarded as the favorite of all the tapes released. During 2011, he changed his name to P.O.P., which is his childhood nickname. Pop was too cliché and he wanted to keep the name so he made it an acronym for which the listener/fan could make up their own definition. The last tape with “Pop aka Psykotik” was “F.O.S. Volume.2 “ released May 7, 2011.
