Pop Zone #4 - Bell Towers

Immensely deep and personal recording from one of the brightest operators on the scene right now, Daniel Rincon. He is involved in collaborative projects such as La Fe and Ambien Baby, records solo as NAP, and runs an excellent record label called ISLA that has served as an outlet for some of Canada’s most interesting sounds over the past few years. With this mix he’s strung together a focused yet varied selection of latvian new age / shoegaze, musique concrete, IDM, and more, all with a heartfelt touch that comes through from start to finish. Such an amazing mix! I’ll be revisiting this one for a long time to come…

Motion Cast Vol. 46: NAP

Here is the 2nd in a series of 'mixes' I intend to make over the coming weeks of music that I find particularly tranquil. I will try to make these one hour sessions filled with beautiful music that is helpful and calming to listen to while we get through this extraordinarily hard time. The music here definitely helps me feel less anxious. I have taken a slightly different approach on this one and it does feature some beats later in the mix, so feedback welcome on whether this one has the desired effect. It is also available as a 320 download.
