Discovering last year’s Hysterical Love Project’s self-released debut album “Endless Bliss Weekender” was a personal highlight. Resulting in a release on Knekelhuis as Ike Zwanikken at the ‘and felt like...’ compilation. Hysterical Love Project is the project from the love couple Brooklyn & Ike. In which they craftfully compose a refreshing modern take on the slow sensual realm of Triphop, Ambient and hazy shoegaze. 

They will release their first physical album soon on the amazing label Motion Ward. And there is an unreleased upcoming track in here. Bliss.

a. My name is Andriy Kostyukov, dj, producer and co-curator of Motsion audio-visual collective.
From my perspective, I can introduce myself as a music enthusiast that works in the fields of experimental and bass music.
I'm originally from Kyiv, now based in Prague.

q. is there a story behind the mix?
a. It’s a deep listening story about light, melancholy, wind-blown leaf supported by favored Ukrainian and worldwide experimental communities.
The leaf is bleeping, leaping…

q. what's the best way enjoy your mix?
a. Just stay in one place, try to feel your body, feel your body deeply as the mix gives you the deepest sound characters and tunes, close your mind and just look around your whole life.

q. describe a favorite object in your living room...
a. I love my sofa because it’s the perfect place to take a rest and dig for some music.

q. are you working on any projects right now (music or not music)?
a. For the last few days I am preparing a new live performance for the upcoming summer season, especially for off-ICKPA concert, which is on the 21st of June in Arkaoda bar (Berlin).
Also writing new tracks, as usual, beloved trip routine.

Blessed to invite Samira @sbm1987 as a guest for the new episode of Mothernism show. Samira Ben Messaoud works at art space Nest and is the owner of Bureau Convoi, a lobbying agency for cultural organizations. She is also a board member and resident at Operator radio. As a DJ, she usually comes back to a darker palette of melancholic electro and wave. ‘7 Ways Your Life Changes After Having a Baby’ is one of the articles that Samira relates to as a mother. “1. It’s no longer about you, 2. You will worry, all the time, 3. You will feel guilty, all the time, 4. Relationships change 5. Planning is everything, 6. 'Mommy Brain' is real and 7. It all makes sense, even when it doesn’t.” "That about sums it up, except that it doesn’t mention the immense ways in which your body changes, the feelings of eternal gratefulness, and the endless fatigue accompanying motherhood. I tried to find a place for all these different aspects as I was arranging this mix. I also wanted to acknowledge my privilege of being able to partake in this experience. I have become a mother to someone, while others may not be able to encounter the messy, beautiful world I am moving through." - Samira says. He is involved in collaborative projects such as La Fe and Ambien Baby, records solo as NAP, and runs an excellent record label called ISLA that has served as an outlet for some of Canada’s most interesting sounds over the past few years. With this mix he’s strung together a focused yet varied selection of latvian new age / shoegaze, musique concrete, IDM, and more, all with a heartfelt touch that comes through from start to finish. Such an amazing mix! I’ll be revisiting this one for a long time to come…
