Laurence sings and does a couple more things. Philippe writes the lyrics and music, and produces the songs. Stephane is the musician, a classically trained pianist.
They believe in pop music, the virtue of memorable melodies and the expression of feelings, never mind flirting with sentimentality.

Following on the band's previous contributions to the Winter Records compilations "Western" (2011) and "1.05" (2012), the label released gargamel etchevery's debut EP, "The Missing Link", in October 2014.
"The Missing Link" is an important step in the development of the band's project. After releasing songs on two Winter Records compilations, they've decided to work at adapting their music to live performance. The post-punk or italo-disco influences are still there, yet filtered through the prism of the contemporary synthpop of Ejecta, Austra or Phantogram, and of the indie dance tones of Holy Ghost.

gargamel etchevery aime la pop musique, mais est-ce que la pop musique l'aime ? Les pseudonymes de Père Ubu, Wire et LazerDisk Party Sex ayant déjà été déposés, il s'est rabattu sur le seul dont personne, curieusement, ne lui contestait les droits. 
Mené par Philippe Birgy, le projet se construit depuis 2011 autour de la voix de Laurence Estanove. Outre une récente collaboration avec Mayanob, Laurence avait auparavant tenu la basse dans Two Cave Disco Downstairs, un combo de power pop dont Philippe assurait les claviers et le chant. Parallèlement, Philippe composait des musiques de scène pour des spectacles de danse contemporaine. C'est à l'arrivée de Stephane Escoubet que le duo a évolué en trio. Pianiste de formation, mais pas rancunier pour un sou, Stephane avait sévi dans la musique de chambre, les ensembles vocaux (Archipels), les arrangements pour cordes et de la pop baroque. Son attachement aux harmonies suaves de Burt Bacharach l'a naturellement amené à trouver sa place dans la formation." Après quelques titres publiés sur des compilations de Winter Records le groupe a décidé de s'orienter résolument vers le live. En concert, l'électronique se fait plus discrète, en retrait derrière le jeu instrumental et les textes délicatement ironiques.


Jeanne Added is a singer, composer, author and producer from Paris. After multiple collaborations in vastly different genres, Jeanne released her first solo record BE SENSATIONAL
, produced by Dan Levy (The Dø) on the Naïve label, in 2015. After a two years tour she recorded her second album RADIATE, co-produced with the band Maestro (Tigersushi), released in 2018.  <3
