Holger Syrbe ist Theatermacher im Projekt aufBruch - KUNST GEFÄNGNIS STADT und inszeniert Theaterstücke in Justizvollzugsanstalten. Auch Jessy James LaFleur arbeitet in Workshops mit Gefangenen. Beide engagieren sich für eine Öffnung der Gefängnisse hin zur Stadt und für ein besseres gegenseitiges Verständnis von Gesellschaft und Straftäter*innen  . Welche Erfahrungen beide dabei machen, welche Hindernisse oder Vorurteile ihnen begegnen und warum diese besondere Form der Kunst Sinn macht, erfahrt Ihr in unserer ersten Folge.

"Angeprangert! Vom Blatt in die Welt" mit Jessy James LaFleur und Holger Syrbe | Folge 1

Pia wird oft gefragt, was sie eigentlich sei: Ostdeutsche, Sächsin oder Sorbin? Dabei hat Pia kein Problem mit ihrer Herkunft und ihrer Identität. Viel wichtiger ist für die 18-jährige, zusammen mit Jessy und anderen Jugendlichen aus der sorbischen Region auf der Bühne zu stehen und sich mit eigenen poetischen Texten von Widerständen, Diskriminierungen, aber auch einschränkenden Traditionen ihrer sorbischen Gemeinschaft zu befreien. Wie schwierig das Leben in ihrer Heimat sein kann und wie bereichernd die sorbische Kultur zugleich ist, erfahrt Ihr in unserer zweiten Folge.

Wenn Ihr wissen wollt, was Spoken Word ist: Auf sagwas erfahrt Ihr es. Marco Michalzik ist Spoken-Word-Artist, Lyriker und Songwriter und begibt sich zusammen mit Jessy auf eine Reise zu den Wurzeln dieser Kunstform. Beide engagieren sich nicht nur auf der Bühne, sondern auch in Schulen, wo sie jungen Menschen Selbstvertrauen vermitteln und sie das poetische Wort entdecken lassen. Was der Unterschied zwischen Spoken Word und Poetry Slam ist und was Martin Luther King damit zu tun hat, erfahrt Ihr in unserer dritten Folge.

Wir sind stolz auf unsere freie und pluralistische Gesellschaft und übersehen dabei, dass viele Menschen in unserem Land nach wie vor benachteiligt werden, weil sie eine andere Hautfarbe haben, einem anderen Glauben folgen oder eben aus nicht-akademischen Familien stammen. Diese Benachteiligung beginnt bereits in unserem antiquierten Schulsystem, meint Fatima, die sich seit ihrer Schulzeit politisch bei den Jusos engagiert und als deutsche Muslima ihr Recht auf Selbst- und Mitbestimmung einfordert. In unserer vierten Folge stellt Euch Jessy diese starke junge Frau vor.
