Alessandro Baris is an Italian-American multi-instrumentalist, composer and electronic music producer. 

Baris' debut solo album "Sintesi"  includes vocals of Lee Ranaldo of Sonic Youth, Lisa Papineau and Emma Nolde.
His music intimate and free floats between dark electronics, ambient and minimalistic rhythms, enriched by an accurate and sophisticated work of sound design.
The album was acclaimed by press, especially on BBC 6 music and Radio 3 on Mary Anne Hobbs, Elizabeth Alker and Cerys Matthews shows, WFMU Radio, John Kelly's show on rte lyric fm and on Brooklyn Vegan with a video premiere of the single "Last Letter to Jayne".

Over the years his versatility and commitment to music and sound leaded him to work extensively live and in studio with a with range of bands and artists, across a variety of genres,  in Europe and the United States including L’Altra, Pinhdar, A Toys Orchestra, JoyCut, Pulseprogramming, C’mon Tigre, Paul Savage (Delgados, Mogwai) sometimes supporting on tour Trentemoeller, Daniela Pes, Rafael Anton Irisarri.

Alessandro is also active as a composer and performer on live soundtracks for silent films.

We’re a record label based in Zapopan, Mexico focused on alternative / experimental electronic music. Since 2002 we’ve released several productions on CD and mp3, including important artists from the Mexican explorative music of this millennium. Our stuff has been distributed not only in Mexico but also in the United States and Europe through specialized companies.Our artists have performed live throughout Mexico and countries like England, Germany, France, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Chile, Colombia, United States and others.

Abolipop created this project in 2009 to continue releasing stuff despite the sudden changes in the music market (even independent), we love the culture at large, as consumers and producers, and we’re open to new platforms and formats. Suplex publishes EPs, unreleased tracks, live sessions, oddities from Abolipop’s artists and guests, and some reissues of our first records. The format can be mp3 or collectible editions on CD-R, cassette or vinyl, as well as books, videos and other kind of works and projects.
