For 9 years up until 2017 Turnstyle was playing and recording under the moniker "Bobby C Sound TV" when he decided to start tackling other genres of music and become a more studio-based project. 

It's not everyday a producer/DJ gets blogged by one of their favorite directors as is the case with Bobby C Sound TV who was recently blogged and called brilliant by Edgar Wright, director of such cult movies as Shaun Of The Dead, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World and Hot Fuzz. If that wasn't enough, Bobby also got a shout out by the Godfather of hip-hop, Afrika Bambaataa on a remix for Ft. Knox Recordings. Bobby C Sound TV is one Bobby Collins hailing from Denver, Colorado. He has been DJing for the past 16 years and producing music for the past 14. In early 2009 Bobby started messing around with a video DJ plug-in and soon after unveiled, "Bobby C Sound TV". His love of cinema was combined with his years of DJ experience to create a pastiche of pop-culture that is visually stimulating and danceable at the same time. His live mash up DJ approach was applied to create crowd rocking routines with some of the most memorable music videos, movie scenes and just about everything in between.

His approach to music and upbeat personality have helped him create a distinctive, signature sound that focuses on eclectic influences and bouncy basslines. He has had remixes and releases on 20+ different labels worldwide while jumping on multiple top 10 lists for Juno Download and Beatport. He has made the soundcloud weekly top 10 as well making their hottest tracks list for one of his fully original tracks, Neon Night Light. His Ray Charles remix made it to #4 on The Hype Machine's most popular list which was the third time he made their top 20 list. He has passed 2 million plays on Soundcloud and has over 2 million plays on youtube.

Along with his rigorous production schedule, the past 11 years have found Bobby traveling over 125,000 miles to plays shows and festivals in over 20 countries. His shows are a full audio/visual experience where he plays the videos to all his tracks live and in real time. He's undertaken multiple tours of Europe and Canada as well as playing major markets in the US. When not headlining his own shows, Bobby has shared the stage with a number of heavy-hitters including George Clinton and the P-funk Allstars, Pretty Lights, Thievery Corporation, Z-Trip, Dave Chappelle, RJD2, Q-Bert, Blackalicious, Gramatik, Krafty Kuts, A Skillz, De La Soul, The Pharcyde, Rakim, Madlib, Guru from Gangstarr, People Under the Stairs, DJ Cash Money, Kid Capri, DJ Greyboy, DJ Spinna, Kid Koala, Digital Underground, Naughty By Nature, Rudy Ray Moore a.k.a Dolomite, Maceo Parker, Kool Keith, Daniel Johnston, John Scofield and so on and so on.

Back in the day, Mt. Doyle was known for his smooth taste in Drum & Bass and his unmatched love for pizza. But it wasn't long before Doyle expanded his horizons to include Funk, House, Hip-Hop and Bass, all with his soulful West Coast flavour. He quickly became a staple in the BC electronic music scene, known not only for his multi-genre sets but his range of recorded mixes as well.

Over the past 10 years, Mt. Doyle has played lounges, clubs and festivals all over the North West, including Shambhala, Lightning In A Bottle, Rifflandia, Electric Love, Wicked Woods, Friendzy Fest, Fozzy Fest, Bamboo Bass, Astral Harvest, Ska Fest, Sun Fest and The Tall Tree Festival. In that time he’s shared the stage with international heavyweights Aphrodite, Camo & Krooked, Ed Solo, A.Skillz, Stickybuds, The Funk Hunters, Chali 2na, JFB, Dub FX, Rusko, Technimatic, LSB & DRS, Serial Killaz, Dub Pistols, Ray Keith, Netsky and Andy C.

In 2016 Mt. Doyle started The Hydration Mix Series, a monthly Liquid Drum & Bass podcast with DJs Akela, Willisist, Erski, Reflektor, Lasu and DJ Surgeon. Later that year Doyle took on a whole new style as he joined the ranks of Victoria based Hip-Hop band Illvis Freshly, where he made his singing debut. Now, when he's not solo, you can catch his live set with Doyle on vocals and Philly on the guitar.

Over the years Mt. Doyle has established himself as one of the most versatile DJs on Vancouver Island. With a mountainous lust for music and style that keeps you guessing, Mt. Doyle will keep bodies moving any time, any place, with whatever the hell he wants.
