Well we have been working on this little number for a while!  
I sent a rough, very basic track to Finn last summer, just some chords really.  @finn_eces weaved his magic, wrote the lyrics, and a song within a song, and sent back this amazing folk-rock opera.  
We spent some time, shooting it back and forth, grappling with it's size, but we finally realised it needed to get bigger or go home.  So we turned to @dairv-dubbleyew and he helped rev it up all the way to 11!!

The winter solstice brings dramatic landscapes of cold and dark, and a time of poetic reflections. With the evocative, dramatic light of Winter, we find our spirits lifted and warmed by the bittersweet beauty of love, in spite of the chill. The title Winter’s Bone is derived from the movie, however here more as an evocative character combining both the sensation of cold and shades of white, the bone showing our barest, most honest form. As such I hope this piece tells a story of longing, melancholy and hope…

Other Locations was originally released in 1996 on the German record label Broken Seal. It was the first CD release from Blink Twice and the label's second release.
At the time there was a zine culture in electronic music, where artists would send their cassettes through the mail to different underground music zines for review across the globe. It was really the only way to get one's music heard.
After putting out numerous cassettes in the early to mid 1990s, Blink Twice had earned a reputation as a unique dark ambient artist in America.

The dark mysterious sound of Blink Twice resonated in European countries, with favorable reviews in the Slovakian zine Crewzine, the Belgian leading electronic magazine Side-Line, Phosphor, and Wounded magazine from Lithuania. Blink Twice was also featured in American industrial magazines Outburn and Industrial Nation, as well as sonic-boom

The sound of Blink Twice earned comparisons to artists like early Delerium, Dead Can Dance, Nightmare Lodge, SPK, and some of the Cold Meat Industry roster from Sweden such as Raison d'etre, Morthound, and Deustch Nepal. Although generally classified under the genre of "dark ambient", Blink Twice utilized much more melody and percussion than most ambient. Many tracks display the melodic layering and tribal percussion that are showcased in some current Mood Exhibit material.

"Other Locations" is finally available here on the Mood Exhibit Bandcamp page, Robert Salchak's official distribution for all his music.
It includes a large selection of bonus material from the era (1993-1996) that was either never released or only available on cassette.

Hidden as the last track is an epic nearly 15 minute tribal ambient excursion that can only be described as Dead Can Dance era Spiritchaser" (1996) meets Delerium era "Spheres I"(1994)

It is an essential historic document for followers of Mood Exhibit, as well as any fan of dark ambient/neoclassical/tribal/cinematic sounds.

As the track title and image suggest, "Rebel" is a sonic homage to the world of Star Wars and a sequel of sorts to my prior Star Wars themed epic orchestral track "The Dark Side". A rousing, energetic kaleidoscope of bombastic brass and operatic vocals, this track is meant to pull the listener into an epic planetary battle between the cosmic forces of good and evil. May the force be with you as you enjoy this journey with a good pair of headphones!

Rebel

In her cozy, warmly lit house, Amy sat by a large bay window, gazing out at the softly falling snow. The outside world was a serene winter wonderland, but inside, the crackling fire provided a comforting warmth. A relaxed solo piano instrumental titled "Comfort" played softly, its gentle notes enhancing the peaceful atmosphere.

As she watched the snowflakes drift and settle, Amy felt a deep sense of security and gratitude. The music's soothing melody mirrored her inner calm, each note a reminder of the warmth and love surrounding her. She thought of her family and friends, the joyful gatherings, the shared laughter, and the unwavering support that filled her life.

The contrast between the chilly, silent world outside and the cozy, vibrant home inside made her appreciate the comfort of her life even more. The piano's serene tune was like a gentle embrace, wrapping her in a sense of belonging and contentment.

In that quiet moment, with the snow falling softly and the fire glowing warmly, Amy felt an overwhelming appreciation for the simple, comforting joys of home and the deep connections that made her life rich and secure.

After the success of our track "Parallel Worlds" i was thinking of another piece that would contain some different styles of music. 
The title “Distant Mirrors” should explain the different parts and musical styles in this track. 
There are a few parts and changes in there and it’s not coming back to an earlier played theme. 
After laying down my bassparts I was seaching for musicians who would be able to put that plan into action. 
So what’s better to ask A man called Martin, Julien Apelian and Dan van den Berg again? 
Think they all exceeded my expectations again with some wonderful ideas and arrangements.
