Fresh Beats is LSEM's sister brand that specialises in helping our students and alumni community to gain experience while launching themselves as professional artists into the real world of the music industry.

Fresh Beats Records is one of those opportunities, where the graduates of the music production courses can release their original tracks to the world. 

Another chance is the Fresh Beats events, where students can perform live at London's venues in front of an audience and meet other artists and people in the industry. 

And last but not least, once a month, there is the Fresh Beats Radio Show on Netil Radio, where our students can host their own shows, be interviewed by their tutors and play their favourite tunes on air. They play DJ sets, and share their experiences from taking part in our DJ and Music Production Courses, and talk to us about their future plans as they delve as a pro into the music industry.

These platforms help the students build their confidence, reputation, and fan base as music artists, and gain their first professional experiences launching themselves out there as professional music artists.

Claudia Kane is a music artist, music maker and DJ from London. Inspired by the sounds of EBM, Darkwave, Techno and New Beat, she likes to blend raw industrial bass lines with eerie synths, crafting a unique experience that captures a dark 80s feel alongside a spacey, hypnotic energy. 

In addition to her own music making, she has worked with numerous artists within the underground electronic scene. Currently, Claudia is deeply immersed in her studio in the creation of a new body of work and several collaborations, all reflect the devotion to her craft and the evolution of her singular sound for 2024.

Join us as we listen back to Jeremy Underground’s performance at We Out Here 2024 at The Grove stage.

This year we welcomed French selector, Jeremy Underground, to the festival as part of the Root Down with Love takeover, courtesy of We Out Here regulars, Miche and Rainer Trüby. As part of the takeover, Jeremy Underground threw down a 2 hour set which took us on a musical journey in the forests.

Born in 1986 in a Parisian suburb, Jeremy is a passionate record collector and music lover whose collection and knowledge of house, disco, soul, and funk surpasses his years of collecting it.

First inspired by listening to Radio Nova and Radio FG in Paris, he spent his formative teenage years in record shops with a sole idea in mind: unearthing hidden house music treasures, leaving no stone unturned.

Jeremy started “My Love Is Underground” in 2010, a vinyl-only label dedicated to his first love: the authentic, New York/New Jersey house sound.
His landmark debut compilation released in 2014 on Favorite Recordings, features Jeremy’s hand picked selection of rare & out of press house jams ranked by Resident Advisor #1 best compilation of the year, winning praise from DJ’s and collectors alike for the depth and raw quality of the selection.

Over the course of 2010’s his honesty and dedication towards music rocketed him to the forefront of international DJing, and in the early 2020’s that’s where he remains, still with the rare feature of being a DJ only and not a Musician/DJ.

We hit the airwaves once again with 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝟰𝟬, celebrating the talent and spirit of our 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿-𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗦𝗘𝗠 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆.

Returning to hosting duties was 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗨𝗽, one of our earliest graduates and a vital thread in the LSEM fabric. Beyond her own razor-sharp selections, she’s built platforms for others too, regularly 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗗𝗝 𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗻𝗶 and curating lineups through her 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗼 𝗦𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 night.

We had the pleasure of being joined by rising selectors and fellow alumni 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗲, 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗮, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗿, all of whom honed their craft under the mentorship of 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝗞𝗮𝗻𝗲, 𝗝𝗮𝘆 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗲𝘁𝗿𝘂 — and are now carving their own paths in London’s underground.

There were deep cuts, LSEM stories from behind the decks, and the kind of heat that fuels dance floors and late-night connections.
