The SoCal madman Stephan Jacobs is really breaking new ground with his sound, lately. From his last couple of remixes, including the stellar rehashing of DVBBS & Borgeous' "Tsunami," we see Jacobs has turned his attention towards hardstyle. Not only that, but he's taking his own bass-heavy sound, focusing it through a trap lens, and then going to town on these Euro-esque hardstyle anthems. Today's absolutely FREE gem is packed full of raunchy bass, but it comes at the end of an up-and-down, roller coaster ride of emotion. Each time you think the big drop is coming, Jacobs patiently pushes us back with a housey, synth-laden melody. Then BAM, it hits you like a ton of bricks. As if ‘Ocarina’ couldn’t get any better, today Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike announce the vocal version of their huge international smash, with none other than UK chantreuse Katy B on vocals.

Katy, who won the 2012 NME ‘Dancefloor Anthem’ Award for ‘Broken Record’ and has released a raft of hits from chart-topping album ‘One A Mission’, is widely known for collaborating with EDM producers including Magnetic Man, Geeneus and Zinc. Now she lends her distinctive voice to ‘Ocarina’, taking one of Dimitri & Mike’s most popular tracks to a whole new level.

The track, which was a co-production with Smash The House protégés Wolfpack and was the inaugural TomorrowWorld Anthem, topping the Beatport Top 100, has been a massive fan favourite since it featured on the 2012 Tomorrowland After Movie soundtrack. With the original edit shooting straight to the #1 position in a matter of days, it now remains to be seen if having Katy B on the vocal mix will give the brothers the massive cross-over mainstream hit that seems increasingly on the cards. Having scored a staggering SIX Beatport #1s this year (so far), rising to the #6 position in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJ Poll and with their sell-out Bringing Home The Madness arena show at Belgium’s biggest stadium only weeks away, it really is only a matter of time.

Circus Records is excited to announce a new compilation album set to release March 24th. The album, named Grand Central will feature 11 brand new tracks from label founders Doctor P and Flux Pavilion, as well as an array of artists from around the globe. This compilation will also mark the first outings on Circus Records for Lets Be Friends, Fox Stevenson, Dead Exit, Robots Can't Dance and Nezzo. Grand Central highlights some new sounds from Circus while still holding true to the orginal formula the label was founded on.
 
Starting in March, the Imprint will be taking these new sounds around the nation as they embark on the Grand Central Tour. This tour will feature an exclusive album launch party at Miami’s Grand Central on March 25th. It it sure to be a Tueday unlike any other as Circus Records takes over the legendary venue with a massive lineup including Flux Pavilion, Doctor P, Cookie Monsta, Lets Be Friends, Mizuki and more surprise guests to be announced.

At the end of 2013, I was hanging out w/ my close friends Gordon and Erick of BOTNEK﻿ in Montreal while they were making their infamous remix of "Animals" 

We spoke of our mutual frustration w/ the current trend of "Big Room" house music: how it's always effective live, yet almost always completely musically unoriginal. SO.

We teamed up to combine my chords & build w/ a botnek signature chaotic drop, what started at first as a bit of a joke, eventually gave birth to "Vikings"
