The first release of the year from Hot Trax comes from the German duo Raumakustik, with Jamie Jones on remix duty. Having had recent releases on a Grain Audio, Ipoly & Mangue Records, “Raider” is their debut on the Hot Creations subsidiary.

Raumakustik deliver a high energy and rhythmic track with ‘Raider’. The industrial tech-heavy sounds are perfectly mixed with catchy drums and a calling bell. Over on the B-side, Jamie Jones delivers a darker remix to drive music lovers to the dancefloor.

Sebastian and Volker are Raumakustik. They have been creating music together for a number of years and believe in creating tracks that will not only bring listeners to the dancefloor but also stay in their memory.

Jamie Jones launched Hot Trax in 2012 after wanting to create a label that moved away from the well-known and popular sounds of Hot Creations. It has been described as a label for the “headstrong” with previous releases coming from Patrick Topping and wAFF.

Dorian Concept - 'Fold'

For anyone trying to catch a case of some game-changing, garage-infused house, a power couple by the name of Ketami has your back. Operating out of the up-shifting scene in Australia, Ami Zagata and Ben Thurkettle have been breaking out records with its bull’s-eye set on the booty. Following a handful of effective floor-crushing EPs last year, the duo will make its label debut on French imprint Carton-Pate Records at the end of the month with three originals in the form of Break Down.

The second cut, “Don't Care Enough,” shows them serving up a nice slice of bass-boasting beats, complete with wompy bottom-end and skipping melody lines that play hopscotch around scarcely dispersed vocal work. It carries a dgaf attitude, but don’t get these two twisted; they have the right vision to take house music to the next level.

Track of the Day: Ketami “Don’t Care Enough”

Hot off the release of his Shake EP on Simma Black, DJ E-Clyps steps in with an aggro groove that could blot out the rays from the White Isle-warming sun. His cut “Lovin” is a straight-to-business banger, with dark and punchy purpose coursing through its veins. He creates pent-up party pressure with spot-on drum programming punctuated by beefy basslines that contract across slittering melodies. Put your thermometers away; this one’s a guaranteed heater.

Track of the Day: Ishivu “Gryning” (Shakarchi & Stranéus  Remix)

Robert James is gearing up to make his debut on Steve Lawler’s esteemed VIVa imprint next week with three original cuts that could level any dancefloor they come across. Following the rapturous reception of his first club-centric EP for Turbo, as well as remixes for Santigold and the forthcoming AlunaGeorge single, UK superproducer Duke Dumont returns to tighten his stranglehold on the worldwide nightgeist with FOR CLUB PLAY ONLY VOL. 2, this time training his sights on the Vocal Anthem heavyweight title.

A-side "No Money Blues" brings UK bass and deep house into the realm of crossover pop, while "The Giver" is an ecstatic vocal house anthem that would fit seamlessly alongside the most uplifting MURK classics. These are probably the two most "feel-good" tracks we will put out all year, but the impeccable level of quality actually lets you "feel good" about "feeling good."
