Let it Lie

Life is too short to let a connection like ours pass us by. I almost ended it. When I saw the other side, a sense of calm I’ve never felt before…it was wonderful, but it’s not 
our time–
is now.
Don’t be scared, I'm not scared anymore. We’re the product of what is inherently divine. I’m not scared anymore.
I’ve never been so sure.
And I think what I’ve realized is that I am.

I see it in your eyes. I’ve never been so sure.
 I knew right away.

You can trust that our bodies know.
Every feeling we’ve ever felt….
You can trust this is meant to be. It is our time.

Leah Michael Whalen (they/them) is a composer, artist, and multi-instrumentalist who strives to expand past conventional music solutions and boundaries concerning how we emotionally engage with music. Inspired by cross-domain art forms, supernatural cognizance, and the connection between individuals, they often confront profoundly personal and challenging issues resulting in a surreal and reflective aesthetic. Guided by intuition and tactile sensations, Leah Michael’s music contains complex polyphonic structuring, sonic imagination, and unpredictable texturing, producing a unique and potent voice.
