Avaran’s first stage show was in July of 1997 when he opened for the late famed African reggae star Lucky Dube, it was this same year the humble beginnings of “Short Rope” began taking shape. In October 1997, Avaran opened for The Xterminator Family . Jah Messenjah Luciano, Sizzla Kolonji and Mikey General , at the Cameo theatre on Miami Beach, Florida, the response was explosive to this new talent.

In the spring of 1998, Avaran shared the stage with The fireman Capleton, Anthony B, and Yami Bolo. In 1999 Avaran again shared the stage with reggae's greats, Dennis Brown, Freddie McGreggor, Micheal Rose, John Holt, Terry Ganzie and a few others in Miami Florida. Later that year Avaran traveled to Jamaica where he performed on both Heineken tartime stage shows in Kingston and Mandeville, Opening for John holt , Errol Dunkley and many other veterans. In addition, in 1998 Avaran finished the work on his debut album “Short Rope”, Produced by Legendary Karl Pitterson who also worked on Bob Marley’s album of the century “Exodus”.

In January of 2000 got ready to showcase his talent on the Midem Music Conference held in Caanes France.He shared the stage with Beres Hammond , Half Pint and American Rapper Doug E Fresh, this great performance secured a distribution deal for Short Rope in the United States. From there Avaran went on to Lyons France where he met up with Micheal Rose and together they toured through Germany, Holland, and Belgium. These performances helped to secure distribution deals across Europe.

In 2007, Avaran re-emerges recording new music for European producers that had not forgotten this artist and his silky vocal style. In line for production , Pow Pow Movements, Bellville International, V.I. Connections, Zion Gate Music,
Messenjah Music all producing classics. While in France he performed with Daville, European Singer Ras McBean and secured a few solo showcases. In 2009 Avaran entered the Top Hop singing completion which he won and carried home the big prize. He continued recording and travelled again to Europe in 2010 to perform at the Hootananny Brixton in London England, at Cecil Ruebens yearly birthday celebration,from there he headed to France once again where he performed on a few more stage shows before heading back home.

Now Avaran is back in the land of reggae recording brand new hits and as a breath of fresh air he is one of reggae’s
unfounded and unheralded talents. The journey continues…………

A banda VIA JAH é uma tradicional banda de reggae carioca, fundada em Pendotiba (Niterói) em 2001, esse ano completando 15 anos de estrada. Conhecida em todo o Brasil, tem como característica músicas bem humoradas, inspiradas no cotidiano vivido pela banda, todas as composições são próprias.
Com um reggae dançante e cheio de humor, VIA JAH conta desde o início da formação da banda com Thiago Alves Moura no vocal e no baixo com  Raphael Buzunga, Pedro Brum é quem comanda a levada reggae na bateria, Marcos Valério o swing nos teclados, Luk Brown a percussão e a guitarra Leo Oliveira completando o time de ótimos músicos.

En su curriculum mas de 800 sesiones en directo en los mejores clubs, salas y festivales de todo el país, y en estudio 5 LP's, mas de 30 singles en colaboración con artistas de todo el mundo y casi 100 Cd Mixtapes, con asiduidad desde 2002 hasta el día de hoy, repasando las novedades cada año con sus #DancehallNews , y otras temáticas como sus tributos en la serie #OneManOneMixOneLove, o su ya clásico #SpanishShots, que durante años seleccionó lo mejor del año en España.

En directo ha trabajado de Dj para artistas nacionales e internacionales de la talla de Ward21 (Jamaica), Kabu Banton (Panamá), Banton (CostaRica) SkarraMucci (UK), Chukki Starr (UK), Daddy Freddy (UK), Deadly Hunta (UK), Lyricson (Fr) Mr.Rango, Little Pepe, Green Valley, Capaz, Shotta, Tosko, Chulito Camacho, Mad Muasel, Hermano L, Lasai, Novato, Dakaneh, KinkyBwoy o Yeyo Perez entre una larga lista.

Como productor musical es creador de varios riddim albums y decenas de singles junto a diferentes cantantes.
En 2012 fundó su propio sello discográfico independiente (Chronic Records) con el que ha respaldado y publicado +300 referencias propias y de otros artistas.

Como promotor (Dancehall Xplosion Festival) cuenta con una experiencia de 34 ediciones del festival, en 11 ciudades diferentes, sumando mas de 25.000 asistentes en total.
