Scott Downey lives in St. John's Newfoundland, CANADA, with hs wife, Cathy, and his two sons Brandon and Tyler. He will be celebrating his 25th wedding anniversay in 2013. Scott is an avid songwriter and all of his songs are written while pyaing an acoustic guitar. He records his voice and guitar at the same time and then adds additional bass and keyboards. His songs are simplistic, relateable and have beautiful melodies. All qualities of a great song. He is left handed and plays a right handed guitar upside down (high E string on the top and low E string on the bottom). He learned to play this way at age 7 on his Uncle Terry's guitar. Due to his unique playing style you may hear the guitar picking and strumming sound different from most people who play the "normal" way.
