[08/08/2025] Indeed, the Hearing, the Sight and the Heart - About All Those [One] Will Be Questioned - Khuṭbah by Shaykh Uways At-Ṭaweel حفظه الله. Khuṭbah at Masjid As-Sunnah An-Nabawiyyah, Aston, Birmingham, UK.

Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:

- Qatādah (رحمه الله) on the verse, “And Allāh has brought you out from the wombs of your mothers while you know nothing. And He gave you hearing, sight, and hearts that you might give thanks (to Allāh).” [Sūrah an-Nahl 16:78]

- Abū ad-Dardā (رضى الله عنه) on the verse, “And also in your ownselves. Will you not then see?” [Sūrah adh-Dhāriyāt 51:21]

A Comfort for the Eyes - Promised to the Righteous

The salaf were the furthest from the acts of insurgency and treachery from the terrorists. It is not something that can be ascribed to any of the religions, let alone the religion of Islaam.

Shaykh Abdul Muhsin Al Abbaad: “How can the acts of terrorism; taking of lives, destruction of property etc. be attributed to any religion?”

Shaykh Ahmed An Najmi: “When a person puts on an explosive jacket, and sits in a car that drives slowly in the streets up until it enters a crowd of people, not expecting to die, nor expecting what is to come. Then blows himself killing dozens of people around him. What greater act of treachery is there than this?!”

The khawaarij display Islam openly but they hide their hypocrisy.

They claim they have license and justification for their terrorist acts from the Quran and the Sunnah.

Only a person with a misguided heart, or complete lack of intellect would support these kinds of actions. 

Ibn Katheer (D774H): “If they (Khawaarij) gain strength, they would surely corrupt the whole of the earth - Iraq and Syria (Shaam). They would not leave a baby, not a male nor a female, alive. Because the people have caused corruption on the earth (according to their belief) and this corruption cannot be removed except by the mass murder.”
(Al Bidaayah Wan Nihaayah)

It is as though he is alive today talking about the Khawaarij of today, whilst in fact he died 700 years ago! Such is the nature of the Khawaarij in every time.

If you sincerely want to know what “Salafism” truly is, then study the books of the salaf! Its simple! Do not waste your time looking at CNN and what the news reports say and look at the titles that terrorist groups give themselves! Look at the books of old, those who are salafi in reality follow the books of the salaf, thus you should look to these books!
