From the first time I heard The Past Is Still Alive, Buffalo was on repeat. Immediately, I wanted to learn this song, record it, proclaim my love for it from mountaintops, etc. 

So I set off to record my own version, attempting something faithful to the original. After I finished, I couldn't help but feel like it was missing something, and almost scrapped the recording altogether. As I was venting my frustration, a friend demanded that I send him the stems, and to give him a chance to save it from the scrap heap. With a new vision came a breath of new life into the track, and from there we took it to an entirely different place. 

Our finished track took a turn from the original, but this song didn't need a copy of the original, because the original is perfect. So this is our version.
