Charlie Chalke jumped on the house scene around 2008, but Charlie's passion for music started from a very young age. he started DJing around the age of 13, but being too young to realise he could ever pursue a career in this industry he just played music as a pastime doing local parties for friends, mixing old school garage and drum and bass. Charlie’s influences from these genres include names such as Roni Size, Mampy Swift and Zinc to EZ and Heartless Crew. Influences from earlier days range from legends like Stevie Wonder, The Drifters, Bob Marley and UB40. Charlies influences today from the house scene involve too many to list but would like to mention Format B, Pleasurekraft and Mark Knight.

Moving to the present Charlie has been moving around various parts of the world and has experienced clubs and bars such as Ibiza Rocks and Bar M (Ibiza), Herbal (Shoredich) House and Terrace (Greenwich) various beach parties in Thailand around Ko Pang Yan and Ko Sumai.

Charlie has just now started his own production career with his debut release "ALL ABOARD" signed with "AVENUE RECORDINGS" which can be found on Beatport.

Charlie is now working with many different artists with many tracks in the making and is looking to put his own unique touch on the house scene of today and wants to become a huge success and influence in the up and coming future.

“Deceptive” plays on the heartstrings of any old school raver with his straight up intentions of creating dance floor friendly vibes. Hailing from the out-skirts of London he knows only too well about the culture that gripped the nation in the early 90’s. Becoming a regular clubber “Deceptive” took to the studio in the mid to late 00’s to express his passion for house music. It wasn’t long until he started to see success mounting up with a few releases under his belt with a previous alias. 

Now it’s the right time to get serious. “Deceptive” is determined to create an impact with quality house music in this fast paced, and dare I say diluted music scene. 

Expect some solid graft from “Deceptive” throughout the winter months and be sure to keep an eye out for new details about his ambitious debut release.
