THE ANGELS IN MY ATTIC offers a huge palette of sounds for a debut album. It dances between massive cold wave hymns (''Drowning'') and rather eerie rock tracks reminiscent of illustrous bands such as Mogwai and UNKLE (''Love Is Just Competition'', ''Wednesday Morning Rain''). While the title track starts off kind of gloomy before it suddenly turns into a gigantic wall of sound, the intimate ''Dementia (Down In The Old Grey Park)'' forms the album's dramaturgical climax.

''One of the big challenges for me on this album was that the songs were all quite diverging sonically, even though they came from the same state of mind'', says Leaving With Ghosts' singer and songwriter Danny Elevator. ''I found that exciting so I have worked for years on this to get the sound right, where I felt it needed to be.''

Drummer Rafael Skudro delivers the energy that forms the ectoplasmic icing for THE ANGELS IN MY ATTIC. With a unique mix of industrial rock and cold wave, Leaving With Ghosts contrast pop-appeal with enough weirdness to turn this diverse record into a stunning experience.
