A part of the very fabric of the UK techno scene, Dave Angel’s status as an erudite for electronic culture is not based upon hyperbole or smothered in exhausting superlatives but cemented in facts and encased in the endless memories of those who have lived, loved and danced to the astonishing output of music he has created over the years.

Born the son of a Jazz musician and elder brother to British hip-hop artist Monie Love, Dave’s path in music came to the fore during the explosion of the acid house scene in London back in the late 80’s. Hosting one of the zeitgeist shows of its time, Dave’s weekly broadcast on pirate radio station Phaze One saw him champion a new sound that was gradually captivating the youth of the country and which would later catapult him into the media spot light with notable publications like Mixmag, DJ Magazine and The Guardian all proclaiming Dave as a one of the major forces in the UK techno/acid house scene.

DJing formed a natural progression into the recording process and in 1989 after tinkering at home with a basic set-up of a keyboard and two tape decks Dave’s first attempts at production created a somewhat controversial remix of Eurhythmics ‘Sweet Dreams’, which Dave called his ‘Nightmare Mix’.

The Walfisch ( End 1991 - End 1993) was a famous afterhour club, back in the days.

Mijk van Dijk :"Walfisch Berlin was THE classic Afterhour club in the early 90s in Berlin. Doors would open by 10 am in the morning and the party would be at its peak at 4 pm in the afternoon. The music was new black polished chrome and came over the summer
like liquid night."

MYRA is a Dutch Techno DJ and producer with pure passion and an ever evolving taste for electronic music. Her signature is up-tempo groovy rhythms with hard hitting percussions, and hypnotic atmospheres with a trippy touch that dives deep. MYRA is a graduate [2022] of the Electronic Music Academy at the conservatory of Amsterdam where she honed her musical and creative capacities. At the conservatory she discovered her fascination for analogue gear, that she now use intensively as a producer. Her artistic journey is just starting to unfold, propelled by a mindset and drive to push boundaries, and aiming to become a live act in the near future.

Steve Bug's seminal Poker Flat Recordings is back with another essential release - 15 killer grade dubs from the imprint's rich back catalogue. 

These dubs - stripped down to their raw grooves tweaked for maximum deep impact - have long been a major part of the label's underground aesthetic, and here we get 15 of the mightiest from some of Poker Flat’s top artists. 

Tracks by Argy, Martin Landsky, Adultnapper, Alex Niggemann and Boris Dlugosch all feature, with remixes supplied by some true auteurs of the art form.

Lawrence's take on Donnacha Costello's 'Leaving Berlin' is one of many highlights, as is Steve Bug's 'A Night Like This' from 2001 which receives the Richie Hawtin treatment, resulting in a dub techno masterpiece. 

Elsewhere, look out for Reshape's discodub of 'The Whisper Had It' - Simon Flower's epic slice of submerged techno-funk, and Russ Gabriel's sleek and sexy 'Prey Tell'.

Mislaw is a techno producer and DJ with passion for electronic sound that dates back to his youth. He started producing ad the age of 16 and has since reated a wide range of music, including tracks featured in movies, spectacles and TV shows. Having graduated from a music school in the piano class, Mislaw brings a natural musicality to his productions, resulting in a sound that is both nuanced and captivating.
His releases have been promoted by influential channels including Voxnox Berlin, Polish Techno.logy, HATE, or Antidote Amsterdam and his tracks have already appeared in spaces such as Tresor, Anomalie and the renowned HOR stream.
Outside his home country, Mislaw has performed on stages in South Korea, Sweden, Germany, Italy and beyond, both as a solo artist and with electro-folk band "Krzikopa".
Adittionally, he is a co-founder of the Wrocław based record label and collective "Całość"
Beyond music, Mislaw is fascinated by physics and nanoengineering and he is always on the lookout for new saunds and ways to create a steamy dancefloor experience.

Svavar Örn, real name. I'm just a guy from the most northern capital in the world, Reykjavik, Iceland with Russian & German blood who loves living life.
I started my musical journey pretty young as a kid discovering heavy metal, 80’s and following with grunge. Slowly later I started discovering Drum & Bass, TripHop and Techno throughout the years.
About 6 years ago I discovered the depths of Dub/Deep Techno and all it’s power and diversity.
"What I love about Dub Techno is there are endless roads to choose. It’s so diverse and has so many varieties. Dub Techno can take you to the chill zone in the sofa and also dancing through out
the day and night on the dance floor. Just love it!"

Forever winding and wandering through a musical eclipse of sounds and styles, not knowing when or where we'll land, searching for heat and heights previously unknown and unfound. Guided by familiarity and nourished by discovery this sonic collage treasures the past alongside a modern future they once sought. 

All reflected on a sequence of titles manifesting as a map through a heatwave of present and possible realities. Stepping in through S.O.N.S's 'Landing On The Unknown' moving through Sleep D's 'Sunrise In The Crater' and into Kuniyuki Takahashi's 'You Should Believe' before finally arriving at a tangible crest of our past inspiring present with Sunju Hargun's unique remix of Björk's Jóga.

Die Berlinerin, sie lebt also quasi am Puls der deutschen Elektro Szene, ist Komponistin und Produzentin und ein "menschliches Wesen" - wie sie selbst sagt. 
In ihren elektronischen Werken übersetzt sie u.a. Gedichte von Robert Louis Stevenson in eine zeitgenössische, erwachsene, elektronische Sprache, dramatisch wie auch cineastisch !!

Illogic is proud to present the new radio show cast by the new artist @marie-w-anders 

Trained in a variety of musical and instrumental styles since her early childhood, she received her first technical training as a sound engineer. Her affinity for microphones, cables and last but not least the cutting of music stems from this time. In 1989, at the age of nineteen, she was a member of the East Berlin underground scene as a keyboarder.
She studied music at the universities in Berlin and Stuttgart, where she was an active member of the improvised and experimental music scene until 2005.
During this time, in addition to her solo activities, she founded two ensembles - Unterton and Hammerhaus - which brought together groove and free-flowing improvised forms from different perspectives.
She initiated and directed "momentmusik" - a "concert series for experimental and improvised music, visual arts, performance and language" at the "Theater Rampe Stuttgart", which established the connection between her ensembles and the national and international scene.
In 2005 she ended her concert activity, went back to Berlin and started producing her music with Cubase. Since 2009 she publishes her music under the pseudonym Marie Wilhelmine Anders.

Electronic music allows her to combine groove with the beauty of the freely unfolding form and thereby realizing her very own expression. The album "Andersworld" (2020) released by the label Broque is the second in a series of albums based on the poems of Scottish poet Robert Louis Stevenson. Marie's conceptual thinking and her craft as a modern classical composer allow her to congenially translate his lyrics into a modern electronic language, which is influenced by techno and electronica.

"Andersworld"​ is already an extremely multi-faceted work of art, which combines club music, storytelling and a curious approach to classical and electronic instruments in a virtuoso way, resulting in an album that always rests harmoniously in itself. As if the influences and facets weren't diverse enough, the follow-up Andersworld Remix album takes that to the next level: across eleven remixes, eight artists stemming from a close yet extended circle of friends sharpen the electronic and club-oriented dimension of Maries songs.
"Andersworld Remixes" will be released on Oktober 1th by Broque. www.broque.de

Tom was born on October 24, 1979 in Sonneberg. At the age of 16 he discovered his love for electronic music. At that time he was inspired by music sets of Richie Hawtin, Karotte and many other artists.He also had a big interest in spinning records.
Tom began to create Mixes... He put on records in many reputable locations in his homeland and at numerous radio stations like Sputnik Radio for example. He convinced lots of parties with his ingenious DJ Skills and also wants to convince you. For Tom electronic music is just timeless.

Marie Wilhelmine Anders is a wanderer in music.

Since she was 5 years old, she has had violin and music theory lessons. But it was the piano that had to come into the house. For three years she taught herself and invented music whenever she came along. Her wish to study composition was fulfilled at the University Of The Arts Berlin, but only after a excursion into sound engineering, the East Berlin underground music scene (as a keyboarder) and drum playing. Her versatility was probably as much a part of her cradle as her enormous musical talent. She made excursions into sound art (sound installations in Berlin and Nuertingen) and could not be satisfied with writing a score. She therefore completed her music studies in Stuttgart, where she was able to realise her great talent for musical improvisation, her joy of movement and the desire to become a music teacher.

During this time, in addition to her solo activities as an improvisor (piano and electronics), she founded two ensembles - Unterton and Hammerhaus - which brought together groove and free-flowing improvised forms from different perspectives. She initiated and directed "momentmusik" - a "concert series for experimental and improvised music, visual arts, performance and language" at the "Theater Rampe Stuttgart", which established the connection between her ensembles and the national and international scene.

In 2005 she ended her concert activity and moved back to Berlin. She learned to play the electric bass, began producing her music with Cubase and publishing it under the pseudonym Marie Wilhelmine Anders.

She discovered the poems of Robert Louis Stevenson and began to develop her new electronic musical language along his verses. Marie's conceptual thinking and her craft as a modern classical composer allow her to congenially translate his lyrics into a modern electronic language, which is influenced by techno and electronica. She has released three albums since then. Particularly noteworthy among them are the 2020 releases on the Munich record label Broque: "Andersworld" and the recently released "Andersworld Remixes".

"Marie works her way out of all restrictions and experiments with styles and musical directions. Whereby she adapts formal means and creates something very own. As always, I am impressed by her accuracy in everything she does. Marie is the secret phoenix among my friends, who puts on a new and even more splendid plumage after each ashes. I have great admiration for their consistency, uncompromisingness, unconditional honesty, absolute fidelity and loyalty. One speaks of the phoenix as an eternally youthful bird. And he can fly anyway. Only that it cannot be seen by everyone. But times are changing."

French artist Angel Lebailly has been pursuing her love for all sounds deep, atmospheric and dubby over the last years. Influenced by the broader dub techno realm, sounds from Detroit, contemporary ambient music, nature, travels, and meditation, Angel found her voice within this vast yet refined spectrum.

In 2023, her first dub techno project ‘Sous l’eau’ was released on Stuttgart label Amas Studio both on vinyl and digital, and topped the charts on decks.de. In June 2024, her last mini album ‘Illusion’ went out on London imprint Superordinate Dub Waves featuring remixes by Linger Collective. 2024 further marked collaborations with dub artists The Open Circle (MixCult Recordings), Guzz (Rootless Records), Deemkeyne (Superordinate Dub Waves), Dott. Santafeo and Bardia Salour (Piranha Siberia). An upcoming project is coming on Velvet Dub Collective in 2025.

In 2024, Angel played in Guatemala at Selina Antigua (March), in London at Netil Radio (April), in Berlin at Troya Bar (August, September) with VJ Justyna Jakobowska and twice at the iconic Globus / Tresor for the Echocord showcases (February, September) with legends of dub techno (Deadbeat, Resoe, DJ Pete, Kenneth Christiansen, Sven Weisemann) as well as in Prag CZ at Groove Bar & Cult Hifi (December) & Krakow PL for Gamut (December) – plus regular radio shows including Collect PT (Lisbon).

Beyond music, Angel is further involved in the arts in general, especially visual arts (watercolors & photography) taking inspiration from various art forms and never limits herself to the known–while always experimenting on the go.
