For Decklan, music, like cinema, is visual.
It develops the imagination and illustrates our emotions

80s science fiction enthusiast spinning records between Paris and the south of France for over 10 years, Decklan specializes into dark disco & indie dance in 2018.

Based In Paris he quickly met performing artists such as Bonnie Spacey & Badknife who influenced and supported him.

In 2022 he joined the Human Magic collective with whom he had the opportunity to express himself on new stages allongside artists such as Darlyn Vlys, Damon Jee, Mystery Affair, Freudenthal, Leonor, Shubostar, giving him now the intention to concentrate on his first releases.

BIO
Jason Peters is a DJ/Producer and the label boss of Roam Recordings. Over the last decade he and his label’s output have been at the forefront of the indie dance/dark disco movement. While his music centers around 80s italo, 90s rave, and contemporary indie dance and dark disco, you will also hear rare disco, psychedelic techno, and early house.

Jason Peters is also a long time staple of the San Francisco dance music community where he plays regularly for some of SF’s more discerning clubs and promoters such as Sunset Sound System, Monarch, The Great Northern, and F8. On Jason Peters’ travels outside of the Bay Area he has played events such as SundaySunday, CRSSD festival, Block 9 at Glastonbury, Red Light Radio, Kater Blau, and the Alfresco festival.

Ransom Note puts it best: “Just like Jason's own productions, which also appear on the label, the music is dark and hypnotic, cosmic and driving - sounds that'll take you down a wormhole. There are a lot of labels and artists treading similar terrain these days, but Jason was spearheading this new wave of exciting and unique dance music a long time ago."

This time with IDORU, a Detroit-born, Miami-based musician and label head and co-founder of the electronic music label Manta Recordings.

BIO
IDORU is the anti-idol in an age of cult-like self-adoration. Her rebellious sonic signature and personal philosophy embrace the cyborgiﬁcation of humanity, where human creativity and AI intertwine, forging a sound that’s both otherworldly and deeply real. She channels the chaos of our hyper-connected world into dark, groove-driven soundscapes—a spellbinding blend of Detroit minimal techno, futuristic industrial textures, electro beats, and Italo melancholy.

IDORU went from childhood piano lessons, to teenage bandcamp playing the jazzy trombone, to digging for hip hop, funk, 80’s electronic and metal records in each city she resided. Now, she is co-founder and at the helm of Manta Recordings, alongside label partner, SIAN. She has consistently released dance hits in her genre, proven successful with fellow DJ supporters, garnering top positions in several dance charts.
 
IDORU has appeared as a special guest artist on Diplo’s Revolution on Sirius XM radio, while also contributing DJ mixes to well-known radio shows amongst her peers. She has also enjoyed the honor of being remixed by artists she deeply admires, including a talented lineup of revered names: Sherø, Boys’ Shorts, Panther Modern, Skelesys, Mala Ika, BadWolf, Jennifer Touch, Damon Jee, Musumeci, Fabrizio Mammarella, Zombies in Miami, Local Suicide, and ID ID.

Other noteworthy artists who appear on her label are David Carretta, Joyce Muniz, and Waltervelt, SIIE and Silicodisco. Additionally, IDORU has released music on Polaris label, led by the esteemed Darlyn Vlys.

"Lebensfreude" means zest of life. 
The label emerged 2004 out of a party series of the same name in Berlin. You may imagine what Berlin parties used to be back then, and how the name came about. And by that name we stood. We always put out music that was meant to be enjoyed. On the dancefloor or off. Dark, weird or pop. Techno, House or everything in between. It’s never been about a genre. It’s never been about a format, a medium, stardom, or a tone. And it’s never been about success. It’s always been about an attitude towards life. Call it punk or simply, Lebensfreude. Wildly eclectic, we release music we love, are intrigued by or that puts a smile on our faces. 13 years in and re-listening most of it still stands well against the ravages of time and the hype cycles of a contemporary electronic music industry that shouldn’t have become an industry in the first place. 
Guys, relax and be a little bit more Lebensfreude. But that just on a side note. 
We had small artists and big (Ruede Hagelstein), budding artists and successful ones (Douglas Greed), artsy artists and straightforward ones (Mathias Schaffhäuser), intellectuals and down-to-earthlings (Gunne & Zuckermann, or vice versa)))), but all of them carried the flame of a passion that put music first. Music and what it conveys. Music and what it can mean. Music that makes a difference - because it is different. More than just a tool, more than just a streamed commodity, more than just fabricated feelings to cover up those moments of emptiness, Lebensfreude and its records stand for the joy to be out there, to be alive. 

After some excursions into the spheres in between electronic and pop with the just released albums by Stereofysh and Pentatones, we will cut back for a while to that dancefloor where it all started from. Oliver Chlass’ new EP coming out in September will just be the beginning of a re-focused journey that will mostly be aiming at providing rather interesting music for the clubs. And that will have a bigger emphasis on the work by label heads Gunne, Zuckermann and Hans Klavier. Time to be lebensfreudig about our own music a bit more. In that respect and having gone full-circle, Zest of Life is the old Punk (with an improved haircut).
